happy talkin'
It's been a rather busy week (even though it's only half over) for me and Anne, and she wanted everyone to know that she's working on her marathon entry in every spare minute she has . . . she just doesn't have very many of them right now.
Also, it looks like we've fixed everything that needed fixing, and comments are back. I've missed the interaction more than I thought I would, and I'm glad we've gotten out shit together again. Thanks to Loren and Josh :)

Yay! Comments are back! Thank you, Wil! :^)

Yay comments!
Screw you script kiddies

Woo freakin' hoo! I love it when things work!
When's your WPT experience gonna be on the air? Sorry that Celebrity Poker Showdown seems to have bypassed you (despite my sending them a glowing recommendation!), but WPT is cool, and I can actually watch it now, 'cos the cable in our apartment complex switched from some weird-ass cable system to honest-to-goodness Comcast...

Glad the comments are back. I cannot wait to read Anne's post *hyper* You have me on the edge of my seat *giggle*

I am really excited to hear that you will be on WPT, that is so cool. I like to catch the games here on Wed night. I have been a poker player since I was a kid. I love the game, but I know I couldn't play as half as good as some of the players I have seen.
I am equally excited to read Anne's review of the marathon. I am so proud of you guys for doing that. We have a similar marathon here in Oregon, and I love participating every summer!
Happy wishes to the Wheaton's for a wonderful summer!

When does your WPT episode air? I can't find it in the schedule. I even searched TiVo. I got nothin'.

Yay comments!

Sorry folks... i don't think thanks are in order though. Shoulda had it fixed way faster than it was. Everyone can feel free to throw the proverbial dodgeball square at my nose.
Posted by: Loren | June 24, 2004 12:33 AM
Nah, thanks anyway! Yay for comments!

Hi Wil,
Glad to see things are going well.
It was cool meeting you out in Pasadena on Saturday evening. Glad you liked the artwork.
Good luck with J.A.G.
Much respect and kudos.

I am so glad that the comments are back! Keep up the blogging, wonderful as usual.

Comments rule! WWdN rules! Script kiddies DON'T!
This is one of the best blogs on the net, Wil, and I'm glad it's almost all up and running now! I miss the library, though.

Horay! Comments are back again.
When will JAG hit the shelves??? I went to O'Reilly and they said June, but Amazon says Aug 31. I want it now now now!

I think it's a terrific thing you're doing for the West Memphis Three. My most recent writing project has kept me in close contact with a reporter from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette who covered the case, and continues to cover it. I'm convinced from my many talks with him that the boys were unfairly convicted.

Yay, comments are back! Oh, it's been so lonely...
Posted by: Annie | June 24, 2004 4:49 AM
I'm not one to comment much, because I think it's lame that so many people want to be first instead of just comment on what you wrote ;) But I'm glad you seem to be doing okay again, and about the Sony thing-- you'll have your chance later :)
Posted by: Anneke | June 24, 2004 5:14 AM
I switched to wordpress because of the same problem. It's a lot better control wise in that respect.
Posted by: Jay | June 24, 2004 5:26 AM
Is this where I can tell you that I think gmail4troops is one of the most awesome ideas I've ever seen on WWDN?
(It's not easy to defeat Strongbad.)
I've (had) nothing to contribute but some bomb shard averting mojo, but still. Beautiful.

It's great to see comments back. The entries felt like a telephone conversation with only silence on the other end of the line. Hurray for the return to the voice of your fans!
Oh, and sorry to hear about the Sony thing. Isn't the media horrible sometimes?

only half over, what're you talking about, Friday starts in an hour and a half ;)
Posted by: StarkRG | June 24, 2004 6:27 AM
welcome back, baby.
Nice to see the more chipper tones in your posts again. :)
Posted by: Stax | June 24, 2004 6:35 AM
Yup, comments are good. I've definitely noticed the tone of your writing changing as comments were delayed longer and longer... Like you were lonelier as you were writing your entries. Hopefully that'll go away now that you know we're still here. :-)

Like all, I'm so glad comments are back, BUT.....
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO UPDATE THE FAQ's PAGE WITH TOY SOLDIERS AND OTHER STUFF?
Posted by: Sean | June 24, 2004 7:08 AM
I'm eagerly awaiting Knights of the Old Republic 2: Electric Boogaloo. Do you have a preview of the box?

Thanks Loren & Josh for getting WWdN's comments thingie fixed! I didn't know how much I missed the interaction until it was gone.
I can't wait until Anne's entry about the marathon and that prom thingie you mentioned in an email to me.
Yay for Wil!

Yay!! I'm so glad comments are back. I never realized how much I comment on your site until they were gone. LOL
Posted by: Laura | June 24, 2004 7:29 AM
I didn't realize how much I missed the comments until it was gone! Woo hoo - glad it's fixed!
Script kiddies really do bite!
Can't wait for Anne's post.
Summer is like that busy, busy, busy and poof! it's gone.
cheers!

Hey Wil ,glad to see the comments are back.I know it's a little late but if you email Kevin Rose about the GMAIL for troops he can probably send quite a few their way. He's been giving them away like hotcakes.

Hi Wil!!
I'm glad the comments thingy is on again, too! I'm having a busy week and I'm looking forward to going from Portland to Orange County today (Dude, the OC!) to visit my family and my brand new Nephew, ELI! Yeah! Life ROCKS!

This is great. I've been missing the comments...

Hey Wil, good to see the comments back! I was sorry to hear about the little misunderstanding/fiasco over the VO work. It seems like it isn't the first time posting audition info on the blog has gotten you into some trouble. I don't remember the specifics (was it I, Robot?) but I keep thinking this happened before.
I know that you, unlike a certain presidential administration I could name, like to give us Monkeys full disclosure on what you're doing, but I'd understand completely if you decided to keep things like auditions under wraps until they become a reality. It always pains me to read about a job you had high hopes for but ended up not getting.
I guess I'm saying that telling us about it isn't worth the risk of stupid misunderstandings trhat cause you to lose out. Anyhow, it's good to have this forum back. Take care!

HOORAY!!! Comments are back!! Oh, comments page how I've missed you :)
Posted by: Erin | June 24, 2004 10:46 AM
Hi, first timer here, but I had to comment to say how wonderful it is that you're contributing to the WM3 cause. I've followed the story since HBO aired the first documentary years ago and crushed my heart with the injustice of it all. I track their website often, and it does seem that they boys' cases, particularly Damien's, are in dire straits.
Hopefully the continued efforts of people like you can help right this horrific wrong.
Posted by: Jennifer | June 24, 2004 3:46 PM
Yay!
I am so glad you got in on the Hollywood Home Game! I loved your stories about going to that one game, and I can't wait to read more.
I love poker. I have always loved games.. and that has gotten me to where I am today, but I was introduced to poker just 3 short years ago. (My Dad refused to teach me.. he didn't want to lose his money. *grin*)
Well, you must let us know when it is on TV so I can plan around it. :)
Congrats again!

Hey Wil,
Was just wondering if you and your wife plan on having any more kids?
Now that you've got that book deal money should be pretty good now right?
Was just wondering as I have a fairly new daughter (18months) and your post about D&D night made me start thinking "what would it feel like to be her step-father instead of her bio-father...." so that lead to "wonder if I would still want kid(S) of my own blood?" IF for no other reason than just to be able to be there when they are born.
Cheers

I don't comment often - but there have been a couple of times recently when I wished they were there,
so YAY for comments back!

Any word from Calypso? I sure hope they realise they goofed by taking that site at its word. Voiceover for a game! Boyohboyohboy!!!
Oh, and Chuck sounded like Veruca Salt all of a sudden! ;^D I want my JAG too!

Glad to see you have comments up!
I've been reading your blog since I heard you talk to John McMullen on OutQ.
BTW... G-Mail for Troops is the best thing to have EVER come out of a weblog.
