pocket planet radio

My friend and BBC Producer, Chris Vallance, has been in Los Angeles for a few months, working full-time on a podcast called Pocket Planet Radio. I did an interview with him when I was in Las Vegas for the WPT. (I just listened to my segment, and noticed the strangest thing . . . I sound exactly like my younger brother. That's weird.)

Chris is a talented producer, and his wonderfully dry British humo(u)r comes through in everything he does. His podcast will always be entertaining, so check it out.

It could be worse - I used to sound like my Mum. OK, so I was 12, but still...there's nothing worse for a boy than people saying "Hi Annie, how are you?" when you answer the phone.

Chris' project is pretty cool. He covers interesting and eclectic topics. And since I consider myself interesting and eclectic: it works.

But if he starts playing Cock Blocks of Wilco, I'm gonna be teed.

First of, great idea on the full time podcasting on his part, and it's a great segment with you. You have to do a poker book man.

Sounding like your little brother can be a good thing. Means you sound younger than you are! (Yaye!) :-)

Don't feel bad... I've been told I sound like a voice for a 1-900-number. So go figure. hahaha I do work for a call center, but not THAT kind of call center. (Oh, behave!)

Geez I must be getting old because now when I hear the word "pod-casting" all I can think of is auditioning for "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", or tossing cocoons into a swimming pool. . . .

Oye.

*Laughing at the body snatchers reference* (OMG that was funny......!!!) Thanks for that Nyarl!

I still sound like my mom on the phone, apparently. *shrugs* I go home to visit and I answer the phone and its always "Virginia? This is.." and I'm like "No... its not, just a moment please." I don't look like my mom, I look like my dad. But maybe I got my mom's vocal chords?

When I was younger, whenever I went with my mum, I would often be mistaken for her husband. Did I really look that old at 12 years of age? Yeesh.

Don't feel bad people,I still have older folks that say I sound like my grandmother.

Just dropped by to say I appreciated your geocaching pix on your gallery. Those were cool. I've been wanting to go Geocaching too and it looks like a fun time. Now if I can just get out of this crazy computer chair...
