the burns keep making me think of elvis in his post-cheeseburger fat years! two words... schick quatro, man, schick quatro!
love the picture!

Yeah, the sideburns.
Good sound bites, but I think we were all distracted by the facial hair.

Actually, I think I like this pic even better than the young Spock pic. You're really capturing the moment, you know? I like how you're not afraid to go there :)
And yes, reminiscent of Elvis but pre-peanut butter and 'nanner sandwiches. Hey, it's never a bad thing to resemble Elvis. Fat, thin, girls were flying at him like lawn jarts.

Ok - your Pat Benetar imitation was PRICELESS, my boyfriend and I were cracking up.
Then, you did it - you recited the beginning of the Billy Jean monologue verbatim! Whoa!
Impressed - check.
Seriously, great stuff Wil =)

I haven't managed to catch the VH1 stuff yet, alas.
I have to say that the Voltron photo (screencap, I assume?) is great. It forms an odd synergy with your much younger self beside it with the Charlie McCarty dummy.
Cool.

Dude...Voltron so rocks the partay! Only the one with the Lions though...the car one sucked! lol Thanks for taking me back to the 6th grade from my cubicle :)

ROWRRR! Go, Wil! Yeah, the lion ones were the best. My 2 little cousins and I played with them for hours when we were kids. The youngest once told his dad, "Daddy, I love my transformers- they're a part of my life!" Of course we remind him of that every so often, which he oh-so-loves. ;)

I've been watching the show every night so far. Great job, Wil!
...old school Voltron with the lions RAWKS.
Posted by: Karen J | October 27, 2005 07:22 AM
Yay! Glad you liked the pic. It was just too classic not to show you.
Old School Voltron was awesome. The 3,000 something unit new one SUCKED. "I'll form the kneecap!" "I'll form the 3rd vertebrae" Ugh..
I had every toy and the Castle of Lions. My only question is what the hell was up with Pidge??

Damn, Wil! Where do you get those cool snap button western shirts you're always wearing? I've been wanting one, but they're hard to find. Especially, if you're a girl and going for a more fitted look. Help me out, man!

I swear I don't usually double post. Sorry.

Lol OMG Madballs? remember those! I used to play with my brother's the best use we had for them was dunking them in water and using them like squirt toys lol :P
watching 1986 and 1987 tonite :)

reminds me of the movie quote:
Women are like Voltron: the more you hook up, the better it gets.
lol

I wasn't scared of the Snuggle bear until YOU came along! LOL, love how your mind works.
Hey, can I be on "I love the 80s?" I have PLENTY to say about plastic charms, the Pepsi Challenge (which I DID take and I actually preferred the flat Coke in the other glass). Oh, and Charles in Charge. I could write a book about Charles in Charge, I am not kidding.
Posted by: love2all | October 27, 2005 08:01 PM
Lol.. They way Wil is with the snuggle bear..I'm afraid of it now :P
then FINALLY they showed Wil in ST:TNG :) Omg.. I nearly died laughing. back then I was crushing on wesely :) har har.. but man looking back.. I didn't realize just how annoying he really was!
sorry Wil :p

Yeah I JUST saw this on VH1! So cool! Love the parts on geekness! LOL! It was a great show.
Take care

You have no idea how much you look like William F. Shatner, complete with 60's style sideburns in that picture.
Okay, maybe it's just me. ;>
Posted by: Nyarl | October 28, 2005 04:46 AM
Don't listen to 'em wil. I think the sideburns look hot.
I stayed up waay to late watching that show. Mr. Wizard, Monchichi, Murray Head; you can't help but miss the 80's.

Wil doing Snuggles the bear - I laughed until I cried.

Wil, I just caught the Voltron segment on VH-1, and the memories of rushing home after school to catch that show came rushing back. Awesome!
I couldn't believe, though, that they left you out of the Casio Calculator Watch segment. Do they know nothing about you? Come on! Just a Geek? Blog king of the Intarnets? I know you must have owned AT LEAST a couple of those things back in the day, and could have given some supremely dope insight!
I mean, they let Emmanuel Lewis comment on it for crying out loud!
Robbed...but still way too cool!
Posted by: David Knighton | October 28, 2005 09:41 PM
it kills me that during that whole Voltron sequence that nobody made the lion roar sounds while miming the action with their hands and feet.
and that no one 'formed blazing sword'
or maybe that woulda been TOO geeky.
Posted by: groonk | October 29, 2005 06:46 AM
I've been most amused by the I Love the 80s 3-D. Thank you, Wil, for amusing me with the Voltron!
