We've been having the same oddly-spring-like weather out here, too... except it can't make up its mind and keeps reverting to winter every few days. (Case in point: It was 70 degrees for two days last week, then it was 10 degrees for about four... then it was 60 degrees and sunny all weekend, and now it's about 30 degrees and sleeting.) The trees are budding and the crocus are starting to pop up.

Lwaxana comes to the Enterprise and catches Picard in a bad mood so he smacks her head with his sausage (coincedently cooked on a William Fucking Shatner Wil Wheaton Scott Bacula sucking Vanna White letter turning kick as tag team of Alex Trebek & Pat Sajac & Donny Osmond dirt licking $100,000 Pyrmaid hating murderer Grill which was replicated in Riker's personal... quarters) and she flies across the ship until she has a head on collision with Mr. Worf's rear. If he is still in his puberty thing as in "Insurrection", he'll probably fart her out and shoot her to the far reaches of the Dominion planet of Hell.

Poor ol' Wesley will see what happened and have a breakdown cuz he really wanted to see Lwaxana @ the funeral... oops... wedding so he locks himself in his quarters, goes on the internet and buys a Lwaxana mask from amazon.com and wears women's clothing to the wedding. Everyone will think that it's Lwaxana including Picard and Worf...

After the wedding they will follow her to her Pontiac Sunfire and brutally murder her/him/Wesley.

"Voyager" Crew:

"Admiral" Janeway and her half sober crew are supposed to go to the wedding, but they get lost once again in the Delta Quadrant where they must start their journey all over again. "Star Trek: Voyager II" coming to UPN in about 8 weeks when they finally take that dumb ass "Enterprise" off the air and put that Bakula bastard in his place... I'm sure he'll take a quantum leap for man kind.

"Deep Space Nine" Crew:

Kira - she gets raped and murdered by Quark.
Bashir - hunts down O'Brian and proclaims his love for him.
Dax - has her period locked in a Vic Fontane program.
Vic Fontane - raped and killed by Dax.
Garak - gets drunk and makes passes at every Jem Hadar he sees.
Jake Sisko - becomes commander of DS9 and accidently crashes the station into the new World Trade Center Towers.

Other People:

Data - grows a beard, quits Starfleet, and hangs out with that tall drunk that always used to hang with Lwaxana.

Guinan - discovers that she is actually an Earth woman of the 21st century who is doomed to a center square in some low rated game show surrounded by 8 drunk has-beens.

Winter left Flagstaff Arizona some time ago. LOL! Its supposed to be snowing but we made it up to 70 today. I can't believe it.

Groundhogs only predict regionally, so the li'l beasties can't be faulted for miscalculating suburban LA weather. I feel for you though: have four crababpple trees around the yard, and alotta weird stuff out back where the creek runs, and when the six weeks of frigidity ends, I'll get allergies in spades.

On another matter, a local PBS station is rerunning "The Prisoner" and I still can't grok it like my older brother can. He was lucky: he saw it on TV when it first aired back in the late 60's and his high school teachers discussed it. Have no clue myself of all the particulars, and I still find the show rather mysterious and dense.

Oh man, now I got to go crack out my copy of 'Amazon Women...'

Wil, the pollen thing isn't just in LA. The trees are actually pollinating here in frozen North Dakota. I've been sneezing and coughing for four days, since the local pharmacy is having problems keeping Claritin in stock. It's not cool...

What is this photoshop contest you speak of...I am not too familiar with photoshop but I am a PSP7 addict. LOL

Photoshop is "the" graphic environment for both Mac (primarily, BTW) and PC; it cost about $700 and is worth every penny.

Can't afford that? Try Photoshop Elements at $100; there's lots of stuff in it that PSP doesn't have, though PSP's recent addition of vector-graphics isn't in PE.

Jus' go to a bookstore and visit the computer shelves. You'll find dozens of Photoshop texts.

I was teen-something and went to the dark basement to pull stuff out of the dryer when, through the last bits of sunlight coming through the basement windows, something long and slithery moved up the concrete-block wall, over the top near the joists, and off into a corner.

It seemed nearly a foot long. And it scared me well and good. Had nightmares ever since, even though I know it's silly to do so.

Of course, the racoons humping each other on the roof above my bedroom every spring often give me pause...

Between 3 - 60 degrees (United States Speakin) here in IL, It just can't make up it's mind. It was snowing, raining and sunshine all day tody. At least our almost one foot of snow decided to take one week to melt. The Rock river would not been able to handle it if it went any faster. Here in Hotlanta we've been having spring since before the end of January (if you don't count the two days of below-freezing-nearly-snowstorm-sleet-and-winter-mix we had last week) and I'm loving every short-sleeved minute. Of course, I'm not the one who has to do that yardwork.

I just have to take twelve preschoolers (under three) out to the playground every day. It makes them happy!!

Ah yes-spring...when the dog runs out in the backyard, rolls around in the mud, grass and mold, comes back inside, leaves tracks on the carpet and delivers the spores to my and my wife's allergy sensitive senses.

It was kind of like that here for the last 3-4 days, but now when I look out my window, I see that we just received a new coating of snow to replace the one that just melted.

Kentucky Fried Movie-can anyone say enough about this flick? The martial arts movie parody itself was worth the price (particularly when the have the "Dating Game" introductions.) Was that the first time you saw it, Wil? Though I admit I haven't seen "Amazon Women..." yet.

The Prisoner is one of things I've seen a few times, liked what I've seen, but just never had the opportunity to follow up on it. I did know enough about it to have thoroughly enjoyed the Simpsons send up of it though (Cripes, did I miss it tonight?)

Did I fail to mention that I'm allergic to most every plant that grows in California. And its where I chose to live. Benadryl is my best friend although it knocks me out in 20 mins. So I just suffer with hives. I'm also allergic to my cat. Isn't that great but how do you give up a cat you have had for going on six years? You don't and just suffer.

Benedryl is definetly not MY friend. I took some once to counteract an allergic reaction, and it knocked me unconscious for five hours. Oy.

I had to quit my job at an art and craft store because of allergies. I had a real bad asmatic reaction along with broncitis and strep. The doctors put me on three different types of steriods. I hate allergies!

It was 32c here in East Timor so I took the one hour drive down the coast to the check out the beach. We have some nice beaches near Dili but the one I went to was nice with a long sandy beach and no coral to climb over or walk on to go for a swim. The water is warm but was starting to get a litle choppy as it is still the wet season here and the rain clouds were starting to form and roll down the mountains. On the way back I stopped and bought some bananas from a roadside vendor. Back in Dili I went to dinner where there was some live entertainment, then home to watch Snow Dogs. All in all it was a nice Sunday.

I am a big fan of yours and all...(mostly for being rather balanced and cool in the face of being a child star, and coding your own website), but after checking out the winners, you really missed the point of a *PHOTOSHOP* contest. I mean, its still your call, but I checked out both the fark entries and the SA entries as people were pumping out Jpeg's and SA truly Ownz Fark. Next time though, bring Arstechnica into the Photoshop contest, and Sykus will own everyone :) The point of a *photoshop* contest is for stuff to look totally photorealistic first, and then funny as a result of it looking totally believable image wise but totally absurd concept wise. Yes, reading rainbow six is funny for .05 seconds or so, but the truly horrid photoshopping kills it. I mean, if this were a "windows paintbrush" contest, sure its awesome, but considering what photoshop is truly capable of, SA ownz fark so bad its not even funny and I am no fan of those SA goons... but it was your call. No hard feelings

Did anyone else catch Wil in "Lifestories: Families in Crisis" on HBO Family last night? I think it was on around 9 or 9:30 central time. I only saw part of it, but it looked like basic after-school special fare. It was based on a true story. Wil plays a guy whose friend commits suicide. I think it was released in 1992.

Seems like it would be a somber shoot. Nevertheless, any comments or amusing anecdotes from filming, Uncle Willie?

I'm torn between congratulating you on getting a good review and contemplating exactly what the benefit is of getting a review from what is, as far as I can tell, a complete moron. He/She sure seemed excited about the site, but half the comments were followed by "I don't know what that means, but it sure is funny!"

Is that reviewer real? It's not some sort of post-modern comedy piece, is it?

My doctor pushes Nasalcrom to fight hayfever type allergies. It's over-the-counter stuff, so you don't need a prescription. It's totally non-drowsy and doesn't have any systemic effects.

They claim that it stiffens your nasal mast cells. Your mast cells are plumped up full of histamines, poised to burst and release the histamines when tickled by allergens like pollen and mold spores. (Benadryl and other antihistamines block the histamine receptors throughout the body.) Nasalcrom makes the mast cells resistant to bursting for a time. That's the good news.

The bad news is: you have to squirt it up your nose four (or more!) times a day; it takes about two weeks of consistent use before you start noticing a difference; and it costs $13-$16 for a 2 week supply (the 200 squirt 0.88 ounce bottle).

My doc tells me to squirt some saline spray (like Ocean or Ayre) first, then the Nasalcrom.

Is this a sign that my day isn't going to go very well? No, Liz, that wasn't a real review, it was Epinions. And I only said "I don't know what that means, but it sure is funny!" after six of the comments, not half of them.

Oh, the joys of pollen season. Here in New England that's still a few weeks away, but my eyes are tearing up in sympathy with you, Wil.

My favorite yard-work music is listening to the birds in our neighborhood. We live out in the country and apparently our yard is a bird sanctuary. In the spring when the birds and the spring peepers get started, it's almost deafening sometimes. Right now though, few birds. Snow on the ground, so not much chance to do yard work.

So, as I sit here at the workstation, I listen to space music, rock, whatever the work environment seems to need.

"Bullshit... or not" - that line is always great when it's shown on network TV, and it's censored... becoming an American version of "badly dubbed Kung-Fu movie".

The mere thought of yardwork scares me, but I don't think I'm going to have any choice this year now that I own a house. Before I was quite content to let my apartment complex handle it while I stayed inside and avoided an allergy attack. Oh well. Only ten more years until my son's old enough to mow. :)

Good job coverting someone else to The Prisoner. I discovered it about twelve years ago and have been raving about it to my friends to it ever since. A few actually enjoyed it. You've probably read it, but, if you haven't, the mini-series follow-up that DC Comics put out in the early '90s is well worth your time.

I loved "Amazon Women On The Moon", but wasn't as keen on "Kentucky Fried Movie" for some reason. But then, I only watched it once. Maybe my problem was that I didn't like "A Fistful of Yen" as much, and it wasn't interrupted the way "AWOTM" was, so there was no respite.

So, Wil, did you DEFEAT the yard during your attack...or was this a case of "I fought the lawn and the lawn won"?
