« Cone of Silence | Main | Attention WWDN Shoppers » February 18, 2002Flamenco SketchesFour days off. That's like 5 years in internet time, isn't it? What a great time it was, though. The whole time we were together, Anne and I kept commenting on how we couldn't remember the last time we did anything "just the two of us." After some discussion, we figured out that the last time we spent any time together alone, it was over our anniversary, back in November. It was really awesome, and a very much needed diversion from "real life." I turned the computer off on Friday morning, and it stayed off until about 30 minutes ago. And I have to tell you, I am surprised to say that turning it back on was not an easy thing to do...mostly because my poor computer is really on it's last legs, and it's painful to watch the poor old girl start up... :-) Today is a school holiday for the kids, and I was planning on staying home, and hanging out with them, and working longer days tomorrow and Wednesday...but I have two, count 'em, two auditions tomorrow, and I won't be able to go into work, so I spent a half day there, finishing up some re-writes that are due in two days. I really love my job, and I really like the people I work with. I realized as I was driving home today how lucky that makes me. I know so many people who just hate their jobs, and dread going to work, and I am not amongst their number. Sure, it helps that we all play lots of games, but the creative freedom I have on my show, and the visceral excitement I feel when I watch an edit of one of our shows is what really makes the hellish commute worth it. You know, now that I think about it, there is really a lot in my life that I love: my job, my wife, my step-kids, my dog, my friends and family... I had an email a few months ago from a WWDN reader who mentioned to me that his Thai Chi master has him write down 7 things each day that he is thankful for. I think that's a simply brilliant idea, and everyone should do it. I'll go first. Today, I am thankful for:
That's all I have for now. I'm off to prepare my auditions. Thought for today: 7:48 PM PST: I want to add something to my list... 8. Nolan serenading Anne and me during our dinner. Now, I will explain: Earlier tonight, both kids went to play at their friend's houses. As dinner time drew closer, we got a phone call from Ryan, asking if he could stay at his friend's for dinner, followed almost immediately by a similar call from Nolan. So Anne and I prepared for a romantic, candle-lit dinner for 2, while the boys were off with their friends. I raced up to the market, and picked up this yummy stuffed chicken breast, and a wonderful bottle of Bordeaux. Trouble was, the chicken took almost an hour to cook, and by the time we were sitting down to eat, both kids had come home. Nolan walked into the dining room, assessed the situation, and announced that he would be right back. He returned with his saxaphone, and proclaimed that he would play all his songs for us while we ate dinner. So Anne and I ate our romantic dinner for two, while Nolan played "Hot Cross Buns", "The French Song", "The German Waltz", "Yankee Doodle", and the ever-popular "Oats Peas Beans." It was the one of the coolest things I have ever seen him do. If I wasn't such a badass, it may have brought tears to my eyes. Comments

Posted by: Gaea at February 18, 2002 08:45 PMWhat 7 reason do I have? I don't have a wife or kids because I never met right the right 1 and I like being alone. Everybody in my family has health problems and my job makes my legs hurt, but I do have 7 to give you. 1.) I'm blessed I do got a family to whine to, but, in return, I gotta listen to them. 2.) I do have a job right now. 3.) I got a place to come home to. 4.) I can put in a tape and watch a movie or a favorite TV show. 5.) I can play whatever music I like. 6.) I live in a country where I can write to my local Congressman. As a matter of fact, I got a phone message from his DC office that I got to reply to. It's over a local project I'm planning. Honest. 7.) I can actually go on-line and whine to my favorite actor in my favorite TV show. Whether or not he reads it is another story. I know I would roll my eyes upward over this, if I was him, but call all of this the couch potato reasons to be blessed. ;-) Posted by: Tony at February 18, 2002 08:46 PMhmmm... That saxophone serenading is absolutely the cutest story I have ever heard. You are truly blessed. Posted by: Nicole at February 18, 2002 08:53 PMHey Wil, did you know that marinated or "specially prepared" meats such as steaks and poultry are usually available as such because they are starting to get old and the butcher wants to move them fast so they don't have to trash them? Your son should cut a demo, Wil, and maybe he could be the Debbie Gibson of jazz, with millions of screaming fans -- jus' like you. Posted by: Don at February 18, 2002 09:28 PMLists, lists , everybody has a list. So, in honor of Presidents Day...... Fun Presidential pets 1. George Washington. One of his dogs was named Sweetlips. Another, Drunkard. 2. William Taft had Pauline Wayne, the last cow at the White House. 3 Zachary Taylor and the Mrs. had a short lived canary called Johnny Ty who died shortly after they tried to pair him with a mate, only to discover it too was male. 4. Andrew Johnson It is known that President Johnson left flour out at night for a family of mice playing in his room during his dark days of impeachment. 5 Woodrow Wilson had Old Ike, a tobacco chewing ram. 6 John Quincy Adams had an alligator given to him by the Marquis de Lafayette, and the Mrs. kept silkworms. 7 Dubya. A Longhorn named Ofelia. In residence at his ranch in Texas, not the White House. Posted by: Fred Fowler at February 18, 2002 09:31 PMI wonder where John Q kept that alligator...? Freaking Karma. 2) Stupid, stupid jokes and bad humor and all who support it. 1) Cheese. Duh. Posted by: Roughy at February 18, 2002 09:47 PMThose aren't in order, btw. Wife stuff always goes first. Cheese, of course, is a close second, and Fowler would never make the list because he's like number 9 or something. Posted by: Roughy at February 18, 2002 09:48 PMWil, you are amazing You remind people that you are as regular as everyone else and people who "famous" are just as normal and thankful for life as much as the average joe or jane. You think people wopuld have learned that after 9/11/01 but people aer starting to forget it. Posted by: Jennifer at February 18, 2002 09:53 PM1. my family and friends I find it's difficult to compress everything I'm thankful for into a list of 7, this is the best I could do. Posted by: Sarah at February 18, 2002 09:55 PMI got a kick out of the thought for the day... I work in a clinical laboratory as a Med Tech and sometimes have to stick a needle in peoples arm to draw blood. "SLIGHT POKE NOW" Har Har. Hey there's a shortage of qualified people in the health care field. We need more people!! if you don't have a career yet, check out the Med Tech section of my dorky, waste of space, monstrosity of a web site otherwise the future holds scary high school graduates and people getting their certificates through some at home Sally Struthers T.V. commerical. TWO DOLLARS!!!!
um Wil... ayngil: Technicality. Got online for a bit, while Anne was at work. Didn't get online from home. Clintonian hair-splitting, but, hey, at least I'm honest. And you're caught. :p Posted by: wil at February 18, 2002 10:22 PMyeah, i am, but i didn't feel like playing anymore. "Slick (uncle) Willy" tsk tsk tsk *snicker* Ah heck, I can sure jump on this bandwagon! :) In no particular order I am thankful for: 1) The fact that my dad hasn't called in at least 2 days. (if you knew my dad, you'd understand why this is so) 2) My wonderful husband who puts up w/ my crazy family and who makes me laugh. 3) Being able to get four pocket zip discs at about half price. 4) My kitties. 5) Having a sister who is not just my family, but my friend. 6) My cosmic twin who understands my weirdness. 7) My best friend who puts up with my strange way of explaining life's events w. movie analogies. 8) Always having enough to eat when there a lot of people who don't. 9) Being able to order the Anthony Stewart Head CD. (Im obsessed, what can I say?) 10) The internet because I found my husband thru it and it has helped me realize that even people that I consider famous and cool get nervous about job interviews - just like regular folk. OK, I went over 7 - hope that's ok - I never could color in the lines. ;-) Posted by: K2 at February 18, 2002 10:36 PMSo Anne and I ate our romantic dinner for two, while Nolan played "Hot Cross Buns", "The French Song", "The German Waltz", "Yankee Doodle", and the ever-popular "Oats Peas Beans." AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! OMG, please tell me you got it on tape! =) I love it. Posted by: Matt at February 18, 2002 11:24 PMI'll forgo the list, just to say that I couldn't fit into seven lines the things I'm happy about at the moment.Uni, Work, Family, Friends they're all good at the moment, and I plan to keep them that way. BUT: MY BINARY BLANKET! That and my "No, I will not fix your computer" T-shirt ... heh heh heh Posted by: Ghost at February 18, 2002 11:33 PMOkay, am I the only one who recognizes the NBC Olympic music that they play as being the intro music to "Brisco County, Jr."? I must be... But, I'M RIGHT! The Cheese Knows Music! Well, The Cheese is convinced Fowler knows everything and hates him for his Dennis Miller-esque commentary. Posted by: Roughy at February 18, 2002 11:36 PMSo, anyway, Bruce Campbell is in the 'Lympics. Wil Wheaton's auditioning for 2 movies as an Olympian, and I wish him the best of luck. In one, he'll star as a runner, which will require a lot of working out with a personal trainer, so I know he hopes he gets it. It's been so long since the teen-days of posing shirtless. Oh, Teen HeartThrob...where for art thou? In the other, he's the coach of a bobsleigh team...he's somewhat washed-up due to his cheating 16 years earlier in the... No, wait, that's Cool Runnings, with John Candy. In this other one, I'm not allowed to discuss the role, but let's just say this: Nude sex scene. Apparently, if he gets the part, he's going to have to go under the laser for tattoo-removal. Ouch. Posted by: Roughy at February 18, 2002 11:44 PMI just saw "First Duty" on TNN. That was a good one Wil, very good performance. The Ready Room scene when Picard confronts Wesley was great. Only thing that doesn't withstand the test of time.. the "step" haircut. I had the same haircut myself as a kid at that age, but nowadays it is a little goofy to see. How negative I get though.. good episode! Here's to First Duty and the step haircut! While it doesn't surprise me now that I think about it, I am utterly shocked and amazed to find someone else who listens to This American Life. Awesome. Well, him, and the set of circumstances which brought about our miserable existence on this thin shell of habitable land on this unimpressive little dust speck called Earth. But that's hardly worth mentioning. Just to keep the ball rolling here my 7 are as follows. 1) My family, especially my father who is my hero. 1. A great family From looking at the side bar on the PS2 games..I haven't yet heard of State of Emergency..but then again I'm waaay the hell up here in Seattle. Seven things I'm grateful for... 1. My mother. What a farking amazing woman she is. No matter how screwed up I get, or life seems to get, she is always there to make me laugh, and listen to me when I need to cry. 2. My best friend. When life gets like a rollercoaster, I can always depend on him to be the bar that straps me down and keeps me safe. 3. My dog. She gives the best puppy kisses known to humanity. 4. The life I've lived. Luck, tragedy, fame, disappointment, laughter and challenges. Every single event has helped to make me who I am, and I'm pretty happy with that. 5. Books. Never has there been a better form of escapism from the madness that lurks around the corner. 6. Music. It answers all my questions for me. 7. Wanky, but hey... Star Trek. It lifts me up, and even a bad episode is better than most of the crap on TV. Will, your site rocks. Thanks. My thought for the day... 'The only devils in the world are those running in our own hearts, that is where the battle should be fought.' Time to get into audition vibe sending mode! Good luck, Wil (and welcome back!) And since everyone's posted their seven, here's mine: 1. My wife, daughter and dog This is a really cool idea. 1) My job, because I dig it. He's 8 years old, way too big for a 5 gallon tank, and has survived every disease known to goldfish. I must find out their secret!!! Then I can patent it and make zillions of dollars... or at least enough to pay off my student loans so I can do more volunteer work and not worry about defaulting. "Okay, am I the only one who recognizes the NBC Olympic music that they play as being the intro music to "Brisco County, Jr."?" I've never seen "Brisco County Jr." but the Olympic theme that they play on tv was written by John Williams for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, I believe. Happy that my wife and I, while not having a house, child, or a Rottweiller, are both really excited about eventually getting all three. So dig that. Posted by: Rob Matsushita at February 19, 2002 08:00 AMI'm happy for all the rest of you who can, and willingly do find these things to be happy for. I'm even more happy that someone finds it "on the money" that I'm all about Karma. And, of course... Cheese. Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 08:04 AMJohn - congrats and happy birthday. That's a major accomplishment and you should be so proud! Wil - you really do have amazing kids! I can only hope that when it comes to be my turn to have kids that they turn out like that! Break a leg at your auditions today - all my mojo is pointed up Interstate 5 to you. *sending good vibes* One more thing I'm thankful for.... That I have gone 15 days without a cigarette. That in those 15 days, I have experienced NONE of the normal withdrawal symptoms and that I have not had any overwhelming urges to smoke. I've made it through the hard part with flying colors. Thank you! Posted by: noworriesmon at February 19, 2002 08:23 AMYou're a better man than I, noworriesmon. Although my wife just quit (she hasn't smoked for over a month, now) so maybe it's a matter of time. I love how smoking is connected with an image of being a rebel, when Big Tobacco has one of the most powerful lobbys in the country. It is definitively "The Man." Posted by: Rob Matsushita at February 19, 2002 08:45 AMWil waxing philosophical.. you have to love it.. Welcome back!! Im starting to look forward more and more to your posts.. it is so rare to find someone who focuses so much on the positive.. as some of the posts above show, a lot of people find it easier to focus on the negative.. and because I found everyone's lists so interesting.. here's mine 1) a good movie Hmmm... my seven
Roughy--Your essay today on Unspoken Love and Normalcy just made my number 8. Posted by: Rob Matsushita at February 19, 2002 09:17 AMRob--Thanks. That's it. Thanks. I believe my #8 should be appreciation for the silly little things I do that somehow affect others. Thanks for the feel-good. Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 09:34 AMThere was suppose to be a Wes-athon on Sunday, but they did not play the episodes. Wil, your kids rock. Posted by: ymous_annon at February 19, 2002 09:39 AMI must say Wil, you are really lucky. Your step kids are simple adoreable. Posted by: KarinAoi at February 19, 2002 09:49 AMthe Magnificent 7: Rob - I'm a woman, not a man. But, you're from WI too, so you're forgiven. Must be too much cheese...... Vickie Posted by: noworriesmon at February 19, 2002 10:02 AMnoworriesmon: D'ohh! My bad--it's the name. The name fooled me. And there's no blaming The Cheese. Or the cheese. Or... Oh, forget it. (Where in WI?) Posted by: Rob Matsushita at February 19, 2002 10:14 AMGuess what? Nolan and my son Will are learning the same songs in band. Will also plays the sax, which I think is the coolest instrument. For Christmas he made a video tape of himself playing his winter concert in front of our christmas tree for his grandparents. Which he hand delivered all the way to Tennessee. That was a suprise for them also. here's my seven.... 1. oregon (rain, trees, summertime, more trees, portland, birkenstocks) ~lauren "there is no way to happiness. happiness is the way." - thich nhat hanh Posted by: lauren! at February 19, 2002 10:24 AMok... my number 8 is the same as my number 2 !
Rob - no worries, mon! I'm actually in San Diego now (a year at the end of Feb), but grew up in Oshburg (Oshkosh).... And another thing I'm thankful for. E-mail because it allows me to keep in touch with my boyfriend who is on a ship somewhere on the other side of the world..... Posted by: noworriesmon at February 19, 2002 10:35 AMI'm thankful for all the people that don't mis-type: u n r e a l i s t i c e x p e c t a t i o n s hahahahahaha! Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 10:41 AMBordeaux WITH chicken breast. . .? Posted by: John K. at February 19, 2002 10:45 AMAt first I thought of all the things I'm not thankful for but then I decided to really find something, just anything to be thankful for. I'm happy that I thought of more than just 7. Here is my list: 1. My 2 dogs Ok. I'll stop there. Good luck at your auditions Wil! Congrats to John and to noworriesmon! Posted by: jl at February 19, 2002 10:47 AMjl - that sounds like me and some of my friends. there are days when we email back and forth all day long about stupid stuff like that. having just seen LOTR yesterday, I'm all about talking about it! My office is full of LOTR freaks. We've taken to naming our servers after characters. Right now, our email server is Smeagol. Another one is Frodo and I don't know if we've decided on names for the others..... Love the Teenage Sith Lord sign - made me laugh. Posted by: noworriesmon at February 19, 2002 11:32 AMWell, I'm a little late to the party, but that's okay. Fashionably late is cool, right? :) 7 things I'm thankful for...in no particular order... 1) Waking up a little late to predictions of clouds and rain...then making it to work on time and watching the clouds blow by and blue skies and sunshine lighting up downtown Seattle. 2) The fact that I'm finally actually living in Seattle rather than Anchorage, Alaska. 3) Growing up in Anchorage. I had all sorts of goofball experiences and made wonderful friends that I wouldn't have otherwise. 4) Having three weddings to go to within the next two years - James and Stacy this June, Casey and Jenny this July, and my brother Kevin and Emily next year sometime. 5) Old friends that were here when I moved down, new friends that I've been making since I moved down, and a girlfriend that's kind of a bizarre combination of both of those, in a wierd sort of way. 6) Movies, music, books, and 'puters - four things that, both collectively and individually, I spend _way_ too much money on. But that's the point of having the money there in the first place, right? 7) Life. Just being here. Seeing each day pass by, with all of the good and bad things that happen. Knowing that no matter how bad things seem to be at any given point, there are always more days coming along that can - and will - hold wonders just as amazing as whatever may be getting me down. It's an incredible world we live in, and it'd be a pity _not_ to step back, look around, and actually see some of the things we tend to take for granted. Thanks for this list suggestion, Wil, and thanks to for everyone who's contributing (maybe that's number 8 on my list?). Cool beans. Posted by: djwudi at February 19, 2002 11:41 AMToday we actually sidetracked from discussing the Elvish language & traced our lineages back to some Hobbit families. Turns out I'm a Took & Cory is most definately a Baggins. And Chris is a Gamgee. Tho' its been determined that Chris and I are less Hobbit than Cory b/c we are both rather tall. Must be the Entwater. Yea! Some one else out there who appreciates my Teen-Age Sith Lord sign! You don't know what this does to relieve my paranoia! Found another thing to be thankful for: the musical colaberations of George Harrison & Eric Clapton. Posted by: jl at February 19, 2002 11:52 AMHmmm. So, how does one trace it's lineage? I'd be curious to see if I have any Hobbit in me. I'd also have to agree with you on the Harrison/Clapton collaborations. Seen Clapton in concert twice and he was amazing. Thanks to my mom for introducing me to Clapton, SRV, the Beatles, the Doors and Zeppelin. Posted by: noworriesmon at February 19, 2002 12:01 PMYay! Wil's back! Posted by: Aura Borealis at February 19, 2002 12:04 PMK2, I live on Oahu, in Kailua. I love the Big Island, m'self... such a diversity of places to see (Waimea... wow). Oh, and John K., there's never anything wrong with having a red wine with chicken. Gotta push the envelope, ya know. ;) Rules are made to be broken. And a culinary rule is the most minor one to be broken, heh. Mmm. Bordeaux. Posted by: Courtney at February 19, 2002 12:13 PMMmm. Cheese. Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 12:16 PMCheese...that's what I miss the most about France. That, and the bakery...mmmm. I have yet to find a decent baguette in the United States. Posted by: kendoka at February 19, 2002 12:22 PMMmm. Donuts. And hookers. As a matter of fact, forget the donuts and the hmm. Posted by: Rob Matsushita at February 19, 2002 12:23 PMWell, it wasn't a very professional "tracing". We basically looked at our personality traits & mannerisms and matched them to certain families mentioned in Tolkein's works. It was decided I'm part Took on my dad's side w/ some Gollum on my mom's side. And the rest is a mix of the races of man. I suppose we really can't claim ancestry to Middle Earth & Hobbits -tho I'm sure Cory is working on a way to do it. If you could meet him you'd say "Oh my gosh! He IS Bilbo Baggins!" Except w/o the Ring. Its freaky, people say to him all the time that he reminds them of Bilbo -and to him its a great complement. Just one of the reasons why I'm happy he's my friend. Posted by: jl at February 19, 2002 12:31 PM1. My Grandmother, who taught me about how music reflects the soul. 2. The ability to create art in more than one form. 3. Steve, who is my true friend if ever I had one. 4. Chaos, Inc. and everything that means. 5. All four adorable, completely different, wonderful kitties. 6. My dearest friends. They number few, but they mean the world. 7. The undeniable presence of love in my life. Love for everything. Posted by: Crinkle at February 19, 2002 12:32 PMMmmmm. Beer. Jl - ok. Guess I need to finish reading the books before I can figure out my "Hobbitness". I'll re-read the prologue again where they describe the hobbitts and get back to you... Posted by: noworriesmon at February 19, 2002 12:40 PMI cant believe how many of you can come up with seven things your grateful for when I cant even come up with one. Spike Noworriesmon- C'mon, Spike. Air, fingers, toes, sunrise, sunset, rainbows, music, baseball games, hotdogs, little kids, sprinklers, pets, cheese, eyes, ears, parents, home towns, uncomfortable silences, cheese, pizza, cheese pizza, marsupials, cheetahs, oxen, bison, wheat thins, Fowlers, JSc, Wil, www.anything, cookies, ice cream... Pick 7, yo. Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 12:48 PMits all crap and doesn't make ypu feel good about yourself does it. i even feel bad cause i cant come up with one thing.... Spike What wonderful comments to come home to after a long day at school. Seven things that i am thankful for today are: 1)My youth Well, then, Spikey, aren't you at least thankful you've got an open forum to put your opinion into? Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 01:03 PMThe cheese has you there, buddy. Posted by: Rob Matsushita at February 19, 2002 01:06 PMJohn Quincy kept the alligator in the East Room of the White House. Which was very safety conscious of him. Seeing as how JQ enjoyed skinny dipping in the Potomac. Posted by: Fred Fowler at February 19, 2002 01:13 PMYes, he does. But, spike. It doesn't have to be a lasting feel good. Even a momentary feel good, like when you take a sip of beer or a bite of cheese. That momentary blissfulness. Or, you could be thankful that you have people here who are trying to help you think of things to be thankful for.... Posted by: noworriesmon at February 19, 2002 01:14 PMOH MY GOD! i supose i could be thankful for the people who are suposedly trying to help me deal with depression...... Spike There's a start. You know, you have a choice in everything you do. It may not be easy to actually turn things around and simply be happy, and I may just be another person who doesn't understand... But, I think you'd be surprised around here. Hell, half of the world goes through being depressed all the time. Lord knows I've been a shut-in on more than one ocassion for several months at a time. And, if all else fails, read the Yahoo! Personals for some yuks... Unless, of course, no one's been answering your Yahoo! Personal, in which case, I'm completely sorry that I brought it up. And, don't go getting all "supposedly trying to help me..." I don't think you'll find a much more genuine group of people...even when it gets down to SpudNuts and Fowler and their misunderstood witicisms. Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 01:25 PM"I'm thankful for all the people that don't mis-type: u n r e a l i s t i c e x p e c t a t i o n s hahahahahaha!"
I tried...it's owned by someone else. I'm thankful that someday, I may stand a chance of getting it. You can always use: http://www.whohatesmetoday.com if you get antsy... Posted by: Roughy at February 19, 2002 01:45 PMI am thankful for: Roughy and all the karma-lovers, Karma is a great thing, until it comes and bites you on the arse! :) Spike *sending you positive vibes*...the joy will come back to you one day, hang in there :) I don't recall the quote exactly, but it went something like this "Our capacity for joy is only matched by our capacity for sorrow." So think, however bad you feel now, at some stage in the future you will feel equally happy. That's something to think about. Keep your chin up. Posted by: firemage at February 19, 2002 04:01 PMTodays list of thankfuls... it's really great that you had a nice vacation away from the anxieties of everyday life. I'm still a newbie, (just joined over the weekend). It's nice to have you back Wil. Thanks for the great topic. My list of seven things I'm grateful for TODAY would be: 1. That my old car is still running, getting me to and from work. I'd be really grateful if I knew when the next broadcast of Radio Free Burrito was going to happen. (hint, hint) Congratulations on your engagement Susie and Happy Anniversary to John. Seven years of sobriety is a great accomplishment! Posted by: Lenna at February 19, 2002 06:04 PMWhat's a lowdown lowlife like moi thankful for? 1. Finding those gift certificates from the local pizza place While my list cannot even compare to yours, Mr. Wheaton, sir, keep in mind that my standards are much lower than yours. Posted by: Radiofreewill at February 19, 2002 07:12 PMI've never posted, but I just had to say I think you've handled your "re-found" fame very well. Truly. I just read Anne's post, and I was pleased to see she was happy. If people had just taken what you'd suggested with the spirit it was intended... but I digress. Thank you for the reminder to be thankful. I needed that, and posted my own. I hope you and all the rest of us remember and appreciate every day the wonderful things that make us who we are, assholes or not! Posted by: K.O. at February 19, 2002 09:01 PMHere are the things that I am thankful for: 1. My Man.........God, I love him so much! (I got to marry his sorry ass, haha) 1. My Fiancee I should be reading about Asian-American panethnicity. I am not. I'll regret that shortly. 7 things I do not regret: 1) My roommates, because we're psycho and it's a-ok. And because they let me vent my fury on days like today. OK, my 7 things: What a great idea, Wil!! And, what a great kid. 1. The fact that the mere thought of my husband still gives me goose bumps and butterflies. Shauna - I know how you feel. My boyfriend is in the Marines, over on the other side of the world right now and I miss him terribly. He was supposed to come home, but was sent on yet another mission and now I don't know when he's going to be back. (He's back safely from this last mission tho - safe on the ship)...... Vickie Posted by: noworriesmon at February 20, 2002 10:01 AMApparently 3 days later really IS like five years later. I never get to read your entries until days later, and by then I bet you don't even pay attention to commenter #180. Posted by: Jodilyn at February 20, 2002 01:21 PM1. KARMA is really All there is..the cheese know's 1.) My incridably cool parents who have devoted their entire lives to help chaiffer me to school, tae kwon do practice, and every book store on the planet. Spooky - congrats on kicking cancer.
