Home Again

So the short version is: We're back. We had an amazing trip, and now we're home.

The long version is: We're both sick, I have a show tonight, and no time to write anything about what we did.

But it was just weird to me to see this big empty space...so I filled it.

Posted by: Tiffany at July 3, 2002 02:28 PM

Hi Wil and family-
Let me be the first to welcome you back! :) I'm sorry you're both sick, and I hope you feel better soon. You were sorely missed... Here's a funny tidbit that I'm sure will go over well here: I was reading a book on ST:TNG- can't remember what it was called now, but it was a sort of episode synopsis of the first 5 seasons- and apparently Wesley started out as Leslie! :D That cracked me up. Just thought you'd all like to know that. Again, welcome back, and feel better!

Welcome back, Wil! This sounds so lame, but I was telling my husband all about your trip last night and hoping that you were having a good time, just like you were a member of the family. Which I guess you are, Uncle Willie. ;)

Unka Willie!

Glad to have ya back! We've been real lonely sittin around here for the last few weeks. (Oh wait, you've only been gone a week. Um, never mind.) Hell hath been raised since you was gone. If you look carefully, you'll see graffiti in some of the unvisited parts of the site. For that, I appologize.

Anyways, I'm going to take the road less travelled here and NOT tell you I'm sorry you got sick. Anne is a different story, but you? Fight it, my friend. I've found that chicken soup and oral sex tend to be a sure-fire cure to any cold when taken together in excess. So prove to all of us that you really are the man and get over this thing really fast, if you know what I'm sayin.

I will say this, good luck with your show tonite. It really sucks to try and perform when you're draggin (as I'm sure you know a lot better than me.) But we all know you'll dazzle 'em all with your Big Willie Style.

Go get 'em, tiger!

Here's the trick: take your shoes off, and grab at the carpet with your toes.

No, wait, that's something else.

A friend of mine has a picture where she's standing next to TV's Jonathan Frakes, and he's got his arm around her.

I cried when I saw that.

No shit, there I was.

I blame illness on other people. You are all vectors of disease. When do I get sick? When I'm around people.

Especially stinky people. Eeew.

Rock on, Senor Wheaton.

Which reminds me! Was Signor Wheaton ever a new age musician and/or composer? There was a song on the music station my sister gets from the digital cable people, and one of the composers was "Wil Wheaton".

I shit thee not.

There I was.

Posted by: KJB at July 4, 2002 01:24 PM

Today I got up later than usual, turned on the Tv and...what did I find out? Mr. Wheaton was acting in an episode of (the awful) "Love Boat".
Yet another cruise... :)
Welcome back.

Posted by: LJ at July 4, 2002 08:26 PM

Hey Wil,

Chicken soup (w/ fresh garlic~ fresh lemon ~ sherry ~ paprika ~ fresh basil ~ mushrooms) get many full night's sleep.

Anyway, sorry to see you had no post about MIIB2. Went to the matinee this afternoon ( July,4 ). Wow, what a stinkaroo. It was an embarrassment to Will Smith's acting career, the director (whoever he was), Hollywood, and to the eyes of the world on this country (America's films are banal like her population).

Smith, attempting to carry the movie solo through the first 30 mins., caused me to want to stand up in the movie theater and use my mini missle launcher at the screen. Who said this guy can act? Tommy Lee Jones, back mercifully for scene II and III, was absorbed by the mindless and unfunny circumstances.

I am shocked at how really bad MIIB2 is. It is an embarresment to Will Smith's career. The director should be shot. The Hardened hag who played the Medusa should be exiled to Bosnia.

After "Wild Wild West ", and this new excrescence, may Smith's public cute factor be the target of a quantum torpedo.

You will not appreciate this film unless you are an ungifted male no older than the age of twelve years old.

Why did I buy this movie house ticket? And how was your independence day?

Lars

Posted by: Lars at July 4, 2002 10:25 PM

Wilbert -

I'm tellin ya, the only sure-fire cure for the cold is BLOWJOBS! No soup, no sleep, no none of that. You could have the freakin plague, be high on coke, AND awake for the last three weeks straight... But with one simple little act of lust and pleasure, VOILA! All better!

Well, I DO hope you get to enjoy the rest of this nice, long holiday weekend. I suppose a little geocaching is out of the question?

Get well soon, Wil... We'd all be really pissed if you died on us...

Now get on that noggin toboggan and revive yourself!

Welcome back. :o) And this is going to seem incredibly random, but I actually know who you are now! I'm not a Trekkie by any means (though I'm a huge SF fan), but we're watching "The Best of Both Worlds" from ST:TNG in my Science Fiction class and I made sure to keep an eye out for you...as soon as I identified Wesley Crusher, the first thought I had was, "Dude, that's the guy with the famous weblog!" So yeah, anyway. ;o)

We noted with sadness the passing of Katy Jurado,
a former wife of Ernest Borgnine. (She is probably better remembered as Gary Cooper's mistress in "High Noon".)

We enjoyed being on Cruise Trek with you - we were the couple on the bow of the ship, on the last day of the cruise, who spoke to you about your role in "Stand By Me".

Best Wishes.
