Just the other day my sister said that "chuck chuck..." because it was her (and my) favorite version of that rhyming song. Since then it keeps popping up in my head. And now - on my monitor.

The yellow - it's near the same yellow as on the cards I just made for my other sister's wedding.

Hey Wil. I just wanted to say you and the other people on the walk are true stars. My Aunt died of breast cancer in 1994, and she was only 45 years old. She was a special needs teacher and was loved by a great many people. It seems ridiculous that the US government is more concerned with fighting an unnecessary war than funding vital research into fighting this disease. It's also very reassuring (for us British) to know that the Americans really do give a shit, and that movie stars have a conscience. :-)
PS I watched Stand By Me for the first time the other day and I totally fell in love with it. Your character / performance is truly amazing.

Yes, but do any of you remember the tu-toned Chucks? I think they were made mainly for girls in the late 80s, and I suppose it's possible they were off brand. Anyway, they were one color on the outside and another color on the inside. I had black/hot pink and mint/aqua. And of course, you were supposed to wear them cuffed down, they were about as high as wrestler's boots uncuffed. I still have about a million pair of Chucks, mainly low tops, and I almost invariably design them into any show I can get away with (I'm a theatrical costume designer). One show I designed, I was looking high and low for red chucks in an actor's size, and all I could find was white (restricted budget). Anyhow, I put them on him, watched the rehearsal, and hated my whole design. Before the opening, however, I took out my trusty red Sharpie, colored the shoes red, and it changed my whole outlook on the design of the show. Weird, huh? :)
