I don't know, maybe that *is* too cruel... Nah, I guess it's alright! :) Posted by: Sebastian Nebel at December 6, 2002 09:23 AMI read the article about that guy awhile ago. He was so smug about how he made so much money annoying everyone... I hope he gets twice as much snail junk mail. Posted by: Squints at December 6, 2002 09:24 AMHeh! :D Sweet justice! Too bad public stonings are frowned upon... :) Posted by: Kevin at December 6, 2002 09:36 AMI read that article too. I hope he drowns in it. Bastard. Posted by: Grimicus at December 6, 2002 09:41 AMKarma's a bitch sometimes... Posted by: marc at December 6, 2002 09:42 AMThat is too sweet! My only concern is for the trees. Posted by: Anitza at December 6, 2002 09:44 AMYeah!!! Now if only I could find a way to give him some of MY spam email and junk mail... After all, it's the season for giving, right? :) Posted by: Mari at December 6, 2002 09:45 AM"You reaps what you sows" Karma will get you every time. Lets hope that it only increases!! Posted by: Roger at December 6, 2002 09:48 AMSo then, my pressing question of the moment; Does he have enough AOL cds to side his house yet?
Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Power to the people. - 'Bama Posted by: Alabama Worley at December 6, 2002 09:52 AMThat so rules - Karma's a b!tch sometimes. Serves the arrogant jerk right. Posted by: Chewie at December 6, 2002 09:53 AMI hope he also gets lots of sales calls. This morning the phone woke me & I found it was a sales call. Ooooh, sweet sweet justice! Posted by: IcyNymph (icy) at December 6, 2002 10:05 AMYeah! `Bout time people like him began getting what they deserve... What goes around comes around, does it not? Posted by: Tammtamm at December 6, 2002 10:05 AMWhat's his address? I know of a few catalogs he might be interested in, strictly on a friendly basis of course. Heh. Posted by: DeadCat at December 6, 2002 10:07 AMahh, delicious ironic revenge. That's really awesome! I hope they catch the others too! Posted by: lynne at December 6, 2002 10:15 AMGod Bless vengefull Nerds.. Dude, Wil, you took Vice City off of your 'Play' frame. I hope that means you finished it! The game rules! Posted by: Geoff at December 6, 2002 10:28 AMThat is so cool. I hope he recycles. Posted by: yodelingwerty at December 6, 2002 10:32 AMpoetic justice rules! Posted by: d.burr at December 6, 2002 10:43 AMNow we just have to mkae sure this guy's name ends up on a few IRS and Homeland Security lists . . Posted by: idiosynchronic at December 6, 2002 10:43 AMnext, hopefully through some cunning social engineering, his ips will be found, and he can get DDOS'ed up the buttoks. Posted by: sadsad at December 6, 2002 10:45 AMYea. That's great. Now as long as the guy doesn't try to sue anyone (and win, which would probably happen considering our wonderfully backwards legal system) it will be that much sweeter... Posted by: Sonny at December 6, 2002 10:46 AMS.P.A.M. One problem: the campaign is at the expense of legitimate businesses. The good guys who work hard for a living and print catalogs of the stuff we like end up paying for the mountain of paper going to this guys' house. Then again, those same good guys have printed all theses catalogs anyway, and maybe they are happy to throw a monkey wrench into the gears of the infernal machine of spam. Posted by: Luke at December 6, 2002 10:54 AMHaha, now that is sweet justice. :D Posted by: NephraTari at December 6, 2002 11:10 AMMwuahahahahahaha! Sweet revenge...what a great way to start the day. Thanks Wil! Wow... I read the interview that inspired the spamming and what a jerk he is. "Isn't technology great?" he asks. Sure, but the postal service can still smack you down any day. It's one thing for your inbox to be full and another for your front porch to be filled. Posted by: Mattie at December 6, 2002 11:22 AMYeah, but if people are signing him up to recieve postal mail, that's mail fraud, and that's got teeth. Unfortunatly, there aren't too many laws about spam, and forging it. It says he's hired a lawyer to fight against the people signing him up for stuff. Fortunatly, there's 50,000 monkeys at 50,000 typewriters, so finding the people should be a bit more difficult. Posted by: Tim at December 6, 2002 11:26 AMDamn skippy! Posted by: Gwalchmai at December 6, 2002 11:37 AMAh, the sweet sound of justice...mmm, mmm. Posted by: Clara at December 6, 2002 11:56 AMI can't believe he had the nerve to say, "These people are out of their minds. They're harassing me..." yeah, right, what-EVER! Posted by: Lauren at December 6, 2002 12:04 PMYeah, but at least HE got rich doing it... Posted by: buntz at December 6, 2002 12:29 PMI was hoping that this day would come! Revenge is sweet! Mwuhahahahahahaaaaaa! Posted by: SpiderWebb at December 6, 2002 12:39 PMServes the guy right. It is waste of paper, but I would me more than happy to bundle (recycle) all the junk mail I get every year and send it to him. Posted by: jgramz at December 6, 2002 01:10 PMHm... I'd say that 2 tons of mail on his porch every day is a good use of those trees. *Looks for that Hair Club for Men "Free Sample" ad* Posted by: abyssleaper at December 6, 2002 01:54 PMTo quote Eric Cartman: "Schweeeet!" Posted by: R. Khanyar at December 6, 2002 02:00 PM*BOL* Beauty... Sheer beauty... Posted by: Wolfman at December 6, 2002 02:03 PMHa! Soooo funny! Posted by: Aatrek at December 6, 2002 02:17 PMNow this is good news! How funny is this? Damned funny, I'd have to say. Thanks for the grin today, hope you don't mind my linking to the post and deep link. Its gotta get out to my crew! Any Wil, apparently the blog twinning project thinks we'd get along because you came up as a possible match for my Intellectual Poison site. Rock on! And keep the fun stuff coming! Posted by: Erik at December 6, 2002 02:23 PMDude! Sweeet! That is all. Hm. Maybe I should print out the 4,372 spams I got this week and mail them to him as well... Posted by: MrsVeteran at December 6, 2002 02:32 PMIt's good, but for that particularly appropriate final poetic touch, we should see if we can get the postal carrier to randomly insert the few small bits of _legitmate_ mail he gets inbetween and within the monumental pile of junk mail, so that he has to go through all of his stack to get out the stuff that he really needs. Posted by: Ryan at December 6, 2002 02:33 PMThis also reminded me about the anti-snail mail spam (when your credit card company adds in some "special offers" with your bill). There's no reason we should shoulder the expense of throwing away this garbage when they are profiting from sending your bill to you. I've also toyed with the idea of deducting estimated profits from my bills because of the ads. Seems reasonable, doesn't it? Posted by: Erik at December 6, 2002 02:37 PMToo bad he wasn't inundated with herbal viagra and penis-enlargement salves. I guess revenge has to be toned back in some cases. *sigh* Posted by: Ryan Rhodes at December 6, 2002 02:52 PMAwesome! Someone should have thought of that sooner! Posted by: ember at December 6, 2002 03:49 PMHopefully he's learned that every silver cloud has a black lining. At least his victims are spamming by mail and not delivering it in person! That could get ugly. Posted by: Dave at December 6, 2002 03:51 PMThat's hilarious. Knowing him, though, he'll probably re-stuff the envelopes and send everything out again... Posted by: dennis at December 6, 2002 04:13 PMI do feel for the postal workers in his neighborhood. Maybe someone should send them a thank-you care package for the holidays. Posted by: Jellyn at December 6, 2002 04:14 PMhey gwalchmai - psml re skippy joke - i suspect only those in oz, and maybe some brits, got it...;) hey, aint karma funky?;) Posted by: Romana at December 6, 2002 04:22 PMWil,
I feel very sorry for this man. In fact, I think I am going to send him a condolensce card. I am going to send it to: Alan M Ralsky And I'm going to personally write his lawyer to thank him for what he's doing. My letter will go to: Robert S. Harrison I may even call Mr. Ralsky or his lawyer at the phone numbers listed here: http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=47045&cid=4828539 to personally express my condolensces on how horrible these anti-spammers are being to them. Posted by: Anonymous Coward at December 6, 2002 05:08 PMDont forget about sending him pizza's and taxis at 2am.. Oh, and chinese food, Fedex pickups, etc.. Man I miss being 13 :) Posted by: none at December 6, 2002 05:27 PMHehehehe. Posted by: Nadia at December 6, 2002 06:04 PMOff the subject, but funny, I bought my current home from a total prick (sorry, only word that fits). So cocky and smarmy! It's a party in my mailbox, and everyone's invited! Posted by: buntz at December 6, 2002 06:34 PMThat's awesome! Fark did that to another spammer a few months back. Karma is a wonderful thing! I can't believe that all you people are rejoicing over this. The man is trying to run a business; just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean that what he's doing is . . . Aw, I can't keep that up. He's getting exactly what he has coming to him. (And if some junk-mail companies lose money in the process, so much the better -- I get WAY too much unsolicited crap in my mailbox every week.) Posted by: Andrew at December 6, 2002 08:43 PMNow just sic the telemarketers on his ass and justice will be served! Posted by: Dee at December 7, 2002 12:16 PMI love being a college student, for the mailbox and email address that spammers can't get... but I fear the real world in a year and a half. Posted by: Matt at December 7, 2002 12:18 PMsic 'im boy! Posted by: si at December 7, 2002 01:29 PMDeath by a thousand papercuts! Posted by: Erika at December 7, 2002 02:24 PMHeh, first FARK sics their guys on this guy, now Wil makes a post about it, whaddya think the 50,000 monkeys are gonna do? :) Oh sweet irony! Posted by: marrasaff at December 7, 2002 05:41 PMEarch? Where is that exactly? ;) Posted by: Chansky at December 7, 2002 06:28 PMI find the whole thing hilarious and full of justice. I couldn't love it more! :) But, then again, I'm known to be evil and maniacal at times. :) (insert evil laugh here) Ha HA HA ha HAaaaaa! :) blink, blink :) Posted by: The Brett at December 7, 2002 06:51 PMOh my God. I see that house at least five times a day. I live practically right next door to him. It sickens me. Believe me, next Devil's Night... anyone with me? :-) Posted by: Caroline at December 7, 2002 08:26 PMMwa ha ha ha ha! Posted by: John at December 7, 2002 09:04 PMAs much as I hate what he's doing, I really can't agree with the reverse e-mail spamming. You can talk of karma all you wish, but every person made a conscious decision to take their little bit of revenge. Rather sad. Posted by: Remi at December 7, 2002 09:47 PM*blinks* This guy has the NERVE to complain about getting spammed with junk mail when he himself was laughing with evil glee as he spammed others?? To that I say HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!! Cant take what he dishes out. What a loser. Damn jerk got what he deserved. Sweety irony how Ive missed you so!! =o) Posted by: GreenEyes The Official CAT of Violence at December 7, 2002 10:07 PMWe need to know his email address, too, so we can see him spammed! Posted by: anon at December 7, 2002 10:21 PM>>>>>>>>>>>That is too sweet! My only concern is for the trees. S'okay. Just plant a tree (or get someone else to do it) for every catalog you know has been sent. Posted by: Mr. Narghyle at December 7, 2002 10:40 PMMore complicated evil revenge ideas here: http://www.plastic.com/article.html?sid=02/12/06/13570513;mode=nested Not that I am condoning them, of course. :) Posted by: ionicus at December 8, 2002 05:28 AMProof that what goes around comes around. True justice! Posted by: epod at December 8, 2002 08:46 AMMwahaha, vindication is sooo sweer.... mwahaha.....
