SO why not contact Bravo directly to see if you can get in? We could even get a campaign going to help you out. I know that I think it would be a hoot to see you there - I think you would bring some brevity to the situation by not being as damned serious as everyone else.

Yeah, a grass roots campaign might be what is needed. And send them a letter including a lot of fancy poker terms and see if that impresses them ;-)

And Wil, I guess I'll ask you here... if you ever need an outlet for poker stories, I've got a multi-contributor blog set up dedicated to poker only. I'd love to hear why you enjoy poker :-)

I believe when the World Poker Tour went to LA, there were quite a few celebrities who entered. Jerry Buss (LA Lakers owner) even made the final table. Matt Damon and Edward Norton both entered the World Series of Poker while making the movie Rounders. They were the definition of dead money, both busting out relatively early.

I'd give Wil a much better chance than them!

I'd suggest this might be a good time to call Jonathan Frakes just to kick around some ideas.
There's that Ebert routine of, would this be a better movie if the same actors sat around a table playing poker and talking. I'll bet there's an angle here somewhere. Maybe one or more of them need a poker coach. Or maybe you can talk one of them into playing for breast cancer research.
Or... you get the drift. I know nothing about poker, but your book references have gotten me almost interested.

i don't think it would be all that much fun watching celebrities play poker on television...now if my own friends were on the show that would be different...but none of us are celebrities...yet.
