Those picts are from the Chinese Garden in my good old hometown. I really should get down there sometime. They have had it closed recently so they could find a leak in the pond. It was leaking about 100,000 gallons a day as I recall.

Next time you are up here Wil, you should drop by. Its in Chinatown about 7 blocks from Powells.

I always giggle when I am downtown and see the Hung Far Low sign. And the Chinese Gardens is a beutiful oasis in the the heart of old town. You really should see it.

You should come to Portland and speak at the Oreilly Open Source Convention in July.

Especially those that live in Pueblos on the Mesas that choose not the fully be a part of world outside their culture.

I don't mean to be a gadfly, but you might want to check out the w3c validator for your web page. It's got 62 warnings or errors. Right at the top, for example, it notices that you've misspelled "language" in a tag. I bet your redirect for folks coming from "reerepubl" isn't working. Actually, it looks like your other javascript might not be, too, what with some additional spaces in the tag.

It occurred to me that that came out of the blue. My impetus was that I've recently noticed that a lot of the blogging tools generate really poor markup, and I remember MovableType as one of the worst. I could be wrong about that, but it's still not good, regardless, and you might wanna point it out at your talk.

My friends & I had a wonderful lunch at Hung Far Low some years back...even though we giggled the whole time. :)

Just wanted to say I caught your interview on TechTV the other night. Didn't know you were going to be on, but then again, I've been buried in a huge production (script and soundtrack) for a documentary and have been living in front of the computer editing, etc. for what seems like about a million years. So, the one night I said, "Screw this, I've gotta have some time off, I happen to catch ya on the tube NOT in a space suit." Good interview!

Keep lookin' up and good move on the Writer's Market purchase. I do the online version and it has been more helpful than anything else I've bought for keeping track of projects, etc.
