ROFL...that's awesome! First comment too? Wow... Posted by: MGoddess at May 6, 2004 10:51 PMWil, did you see this? Comcast Fires TechTV Staff You have no idea how much I needed that laugh before bed! Thanks! *kitty mojo* Posted by: reallylikesj at May 6, 2004 11:24 PMI've got an air bass that's just collecting dust ... any takers? P.S. Go Felix Go! Posted by: Reena at May 6, 2004 11:32 PMOMG, that really made my day...night...whatever... Posted by: Kitten at May 6, 2004 11:32 PMI'm pretty good with the air drums, anyone want to form a band? (we'd need some roadies for sure, those things are heavy) Posted by: Chris at May 6, 2004 11:43 PMhmm, brings to mind the little guitar sound effect in Bill and Ted. if a bunch of people all played 'air' instruments, maybe they could convince a large portion of the public that they were going insane.=p Posted by: rotting orange at May 6, 2004 11:46 PMI've got an air girlfriend. She's not for sale though. Posted by: Forrest at May 7, 2004 12:21 AMsadly, i've been known to break out the air keyboard on many an occasion. now all we need is an air vocalist, and maybe an air brass section. Posted by: jon at May 7, 2004 12:40 AMi was always partial to playing air drums myself. you have to watch you don't air injure someone and send them to the air hospital while you're banging on those air skins though... dangerous stuff. p.s. you hear comcast laid off the entire techtv staff? what the eff? Posted by: eric at May 7, 2004 12:46 AMWere you aware that I still own my collection of 80's Air Guitars??? I've spent many hours playing with some of the world's greatest guitarists! *Electric Eye* Posted by: Electric Eye at May 7, 2004 01:29 AMHow about an air flute? Maybe it should be an orchastra instead of a band? I think a friend might still have her air violin... --joe PS: to the guy who suggested "spamming" the Spammer. Two wrongs won't make it right. I like the ERASE AND IGNORE ploy better. Posted by: B. Joseph Fekete, Jr. at May 7, 2004 03:32 AMIt was probably pretty cool, however, remember that totalfark links arent accessible to the general public. Anyway, goes to show people will buy anything :) Larry I got caught like that once.....it turned out to be a hair guitar. Still played though! Posted by: colin at May 7, 2004 04:31 AMThat's classic, and the funny thing is, Hall and Oates DID have a reunion in my town, and stayed at my Hotel. Old, bratty and washed up, heh. - I wonder if I could sell my 30 yard touchdown pass? Posted by: Gabe at May 7, 2004 05:08 AMThis is how dense I am. I read the ad, I laughed at the ad, couldn't understand why the bid would only be at $5.00+ until I was half way thru reading the comments here and realized duuuhhhhhh AIR guitar. Anyway 1st time here, so many people have you on their blogroll I figured it was time to check your site out. Have a good weekend! Posted by: Ro at May 7, 2004 05:15 AMThat is just hilarious. Totally amazing what people will sell and others will purchase on Ebay. Posted by: Lance at May 7, 2004 05:42 AMhey wil! take care ps, hope Felix Bear is ok! So Wil, how long until we get to share in your rage against stupid cable networks tirade? *Sigh* I loved TSS. Watch G4 go and screw it up now. Posted by: Allie at May 7, 2004 06:14 AMPoor TechTV. Admittedly, there are (were?) some hosts that I just didn't think were "right" for the spot, but they sure as hell better keep Patrick. Because Patrick rocks. Posted by: Kristy at May 7, 2004 06:48 AMAre you guys serious? THAT was funny? Well, I guess anything's funny late at night. I, unfortunately, read this at 7 this morning and I found it to be entirely stupid. But whatever. P.S. Did anybody find out who sent all the kiddie porn? Cause that sh*!'s just wrong. Posted by: Alison at May 7, 2004 07:09 AMUgh. The air guitar was funny, but the news concerning TechTV is just sickening. It figures that now that I get out of college where I don't get ZDTV, I mean TechTV, they up and cancel it. So, if G4 called you and wanted to guest host one of their shows, would you? I'm not asking so I can point and call you a sellout, but if they're in LA, that's significantly closer than SF, no? Posted by: Kevin M. at May 7, 2004 07:24 AMYou know, the auction itself isn't the funny part. The funny part is, if this were a real auction, someone would bid on it. Posted by: Veronica Knight at May 7, 2004 07:50 AMDio has rocked for a long, long time It's time to pass the torch And we will make sure that you're very well taken care of Your sauce will mix with ours That was all from memory... I guess I should stop listening to Tenacious D, huh? :-D Posted by: Rufo Sanchez at May 7, 2004 07:52 AMHey, I still occasionally play my air clarinet - we're well on our way to a full orchestra! p.s. hey Felix, how're you doing? :) Posted by: Kirsten at May 7, 2004 07:58 AMWe had luck with a number of homemade CRF recipes for our guy Cyrano a few years ago. Some good infor here: Give felix all the love he needs (and maybe install an extra litter box or two so he doesn't have to go as far!) Posted by: Jon at May 7, 2004 08:18 AMOops, I commented on the wrong post! So sue me... Posted by: Jon at May 7, 2004 08:22 AMMaybe I should auction my air bongos for the Save Ferris Bueller Fund... Posted by: Glenn at May 7, 2004 08:40 AM"And any fat girl's party"? Ha. Ha ha ha. Fat hatred is so funny. Mocking fat people is so cool. Thanks for furthering body discrimination, Wil. Very helpful and thoughtful. Posted by: Cere at May 7, 2004 08:58 AMBut you so know there is some one who would buy it! Posted by: Spike at May 7, 2004 09:27 AMI was going to make the Tenacious D comment, but it seems I have been beaten to the punch. So...awesome Wil, they rock, eh? Posted by: Lisa at May 7, 2004 09:33 AMCere -- making fun of fat people? it was barely mentioned in one sentence, and wil didnt write it. dont try to start little internet wars, pal. you lose!!!1!11!11!!!!oneone!eleven Posted by: julie reppert at May 7, 2004 09:37 AMHey, what's up with those Comcast goobs? You have an opinion on this one to share? What's Felix think about this? Posted by: Yad at May 7, 2004 09:42 AM*snerk* I love that. 5 bucks. Oh, and the comments about only taking it out after six beers? Priceless. Good luck with the bidding. Posted by: Rhonda at May 7, 2004 09:46 AMWow, I know $15 isn't a lot of money but even if someone is going to make this silly buy why waste the $10 for postage? And would the seller really send a box containing the 'air guitar'? This is the first time I've had a chance to read your page, and I have to say it left one amusing first impression. Thanks. Posted by: Wickkett at May 7, 2004 10:19 AM*blink* And someone actually bought it? Oh, that's sad. Posted by: Amber at May 7, 2004 10:58 AMrandom thought: has anyone ever called you dubya? hehehh. just a random thought. Posted by: seasnail at May 7, 2004 12:39 PMDio has rocked, for a long long time. Posted by: axl at May 7, 2004 12:40 PMHey Cerce, Sorry, I meant Cere. I've been reading too much greek mythology lately. Now if i get the air guitar, it will go with my air drums, and my new air keyboard. Now if i only could find a air lead singer and a air band. And boy does that suck about tech tv Posted by: Terry at May 7, 2004 03:21 PMwho the heck is wil wheaton? i don't mean to post offtopic, sorry. but can someone clue me in here? Posted by: some guy at May 7, 2004 03:39 PMI'm a pretty good air vocalist, skilled in all sorts of ranges. I can even sing bass *and* soprano. ^_^ ~~~~~~>*kitty mojo*~~~~~> Posted by: Erin at May 7, 2004 04:54 PMI smashed my Air Guitar years ago while jamming with the Who. But, I still have the case, strap, extra strings, amp and picks that went with it. Maybe I should put those up for bid too. Posted by: Kinmare at May 7, 2004 05:52 PMto "some guy": If you really don't know, Wil Wheaton is the fabulous Ensign Wesley Crusher of the Starship Enterprise, Startrek: the Next Generation. Episodes can be seen nightly on Spike TV. He has recently written a book , Dancing Barefoot, from O'Reilly Press and a second book due shortly, Just A Geek. He has a beautiful wife, Anne, two kids, a black-and-tan dog and a sick cat. Freeman :) Posted by: Freeman in Louisiana at May 7, 2004 05:54 PMFor all these air instruments, we're gonna need an 'Air Supply'. Okay, that one was really bad, I know. :) Posted by: Brandi at May 7, 2004 07:25 PMROFLMAO!! Great! I nearly spit soup on my monitor when I read about the letter and the magazine. Wow! Thats good stuff. Kitty Mojo and Mojo for you and the fam still coming your way. Also mucho Mojo for Kris! Take care! ~*~Lotus~*~ Posted by: Lotus at May 7, 2004 08:21 PMOh geez, I love Tenacious D, and that post was hilarious. Posted by: Emma at May 7, 2004 09:01 PMOOOH!!! Finally, something to go along with my air ukelele! I cleaned my air-dirtbike in my highschool drama class once, I never lived that down. Posted by: siasmaster at May 8, 2004 01:30 AMit is use~ Posted by: qq,qq,qq at May 8, 2004 02:24 AMFor the last two day's I have checked my emails, and there have been emails from wwdn only to find when I open them that they are junk emails... has this happened to anyone else. Posted by: Spike at May 8, 2004 03:35 AMThe bidders were probably other accounts owned by the same person or 5 or 6 of the seller's drunk friends who had some loose change after their last binge drinking session. Posted by: Gil at May 8, 2004 07:54 AMHey my husband has one of those too! But he picked his up during the 90s grunge era. Oh, he also has a piano. It even fits on the dashboard of the car which is where he most likes to play it -- when he's driving and Ben Folds is on. Posted by: Anna at May 8, 2004 08:27 AMNo one has mentioned air dreadlocks for sale... I offer mine; I've only rocked to some good reggae, George Clinton, etc. but without Lenny Kravitz to guide me I am ready to part with them... Posted by: Ed at May 8, 2004 10:21 AMI have a really nice set of air golfclubs here that I'd be willing to part with. I've won many a local tourney with these things. There are two drivers included, a fairly new putter, and various irons and woods. The bag contains all the pockets to carry all of the air accessories you will ever need. I will also throw in 100 air golf balls at no extra charge. I don't think I will be needing my air Nascar either. I've often raced and beat the Nascar greats in this top of the line stock car. Dale Earnhardt Jr. hit me in my last race in North Carolina. I lost that race and I've not really had the money to repair the damage, so the right rear side needs some air work. Other than that it still runs like a dream and looks real good. If you want, I could use my air phone and give Dale Jr. a call and see if he will air-autograph the damaged area, but that will cost a bit extra... Posted by: WebNuT! at May 8, 2004 12:08 PMI love my air guitar! It even works in the shower! 10 bucks is a bit step for shipping though. They are made of air after all. Posted by: Sarah at May 8, 2004 06:32 PMWil, I want to eat your brain and gain your powers of observation. I mean that in the best way possible. Posted by: Tom Working at May 8, 2004 11:58 PMHi Wil! If you liked the air guitar, have you seen the pretend girlfriends? HILARIOUS stuff!! For the guys who make 'em up from summer camp. I couldn't find the link to the news article, so I guess you'll just have to take my word on it, or go search it up. Sorry! Posted by: hcatty at May 9, 2004 06:18 AMAnne, Happy Mothers' Day!! Hope Wil and the kids treated you to something nice; I'm sure they did. Tell Wil to give us a rundown of your day's activities. Thanks so much. May love and peace be yours in abundance. Freeman :) Posted by: Freeman in Louisiana at May 9, 2004 09:00 AMI heard about that one and I couldn't believe it! and the fact it sold for 5.50 hahaha Genius! His pictures were classic as well haha Posted by: Kymberly at May 9, 2004 11:03 AMThat was just too funny!! And what's even more hilarious is that it's on ebay... and is an actual auction... and someone actually won it. LOL Posted by: Laura at May 9, 2004 11:26 AMStupid mimes and their invisible instruments. Posted by: Clown college at May 10, 2004 12:55 PMI've known several air women to whom this instrument woud have been particularly suited I got caught like that once.....it turned out to be a hair guitar.
