« fossilize apostle and I comb it with a rake | Main | dallas comic con » October 14, 2004wil wheaton!!!photo by: ilisufor wendywhoSo let me explain what is going on here: Wendy is a friend of mine, and she sent me a note that this sweet girl had my book, and posted about it on her buzznet moblog. I thought it was too cool for words that someone was so excited to have my book, they took a picture of themselves with it! buzznet has this new premium feature where you can add anything from a buzznet blog to your own blog using xml-rpc, and I thought this was as good an image as any to try it out. Neat! Comments
That's so cool. First post? Posted by: RomyNo1 at October 14, 2004 07:04 PMHey man, does that mean you'd post a picture of me too, if I take it with my copy of JAG sitting right next to me? I'm not sure if that would be cool or just perverse. I still don't have a copy of Just a Geek. I am getting one for my Birthday but that is still TWO WEEKS AWAY!!! Posted by: Ben at October 14, 2004 07:21 PMhey, why not start a gallery of wwdn-ers posing with their copies of JAG... Posted by: Melissa at October 14, 2004 07:30 PMHey Wil, In the comments for "fossilize apostle..." I mentioned an event... has it been confirmed? Laters, Edwood Posted by: edwoodca at October 14, 2004 07:31 PMI second the idea of a gallery of wwdn'ers and their JAG copies. :) I've got two copies I love it so much. One for me, and one to loan out (already loaned it out once!) Posted by: Melissa at October 14, 2004 07:47 PMwhat a great promotional idea for JAG...people send in pictures of themselves posing with your book to be posted on net advertising and prints...the "me and wil" pictures! Posted by: d. burr at October 14, 2004 08:06 PMon my previous post i meant to say...the pictures could be used on net advertising and print ads. Posted by: d. burr at October 14, 2004 08:08 PMI'd be game for this gallery of JAG books. You're right next to Neal Stephenson ;) Posted by: Kyle at October 14, 2004 08:14 PMWil- I've always thought this blog could use a few pictures. ;-) That *is* really, really sweet! She actually did what I felt like doing when mine came in from Amazon. I did a little happy dance at the mail box. I'll go on and add another affirmative vote to the coolness of the whole "photo gallery of WWdNers with their JAG copies." After seeing someone else so happy I feel a little more normal and all warm and fuzzy inside. :) cheers! Posted by: angie k at October 14, 2004 08:37 PMShes pretty hot, why can't I find a girl who has a copy of JAG? Posted by: Ceridan at October 14, 2004 08:45 PMThinking about it, I'm from Liverpool in England, and it would just be nice to just find a girl who could read *sigh* Posted by: Ceridan at October 14, 2004 08:48 PM*sigh* wish I'd've thought of it... but it probably wouldn't've been as cool! Which it is. err... i was buzzed enough about getting my copy of j-a-g to take a pic of my copy of the book with my devo energy dome hat (and i think my new 200gb drive was also in the picture) and email it to you ... while i wasn't in the image, my devo hat was. 8D does that count? --darien! I was extremely disappointed that my library couldn't get me Just A Geek in time to take with me on vacation. I picked up a bunch of other books, but when I get back I will definitely read it. Posted by: Meredith at October 15, 2004 08:24 AMHey, I'm heading to Walt Disney World for the 999 Happy Haunts event in about a week. I can get a pic of your book with a whole gank of Haunted Mansion geeks throwing the goat or something... I'm just saying. Posted by: ste3ve at October 15, 2004 09:54 AMIs she single? Posted by: Mike at October 15, 2004 11:31 AMThe coolest thing about this photo is that the person in it is in Spain! How cool is that? You now have a European audience for your books! Posted by: lomara at October 15, 2004 12:57 PMShe's hot, man. Like the cover of the book... the girl not much... heidi Go Wil! It's awesome to see people so excited about your book. I've had JAG for a couple of weeks now, and it's definitely one of the best books I have ever read, and I think I've driven my fiancee nuts with all the random Wil Factoids I toss out every day when I read it. I bring this web justin timberlake up because over the last several months, I've written web design something like seven songs straight now where the web design music is complete and finished as like I want it, johnny depp and I don't have the words. And, I've written a online photo sharing few where the words are to that same point, but the simpsons although I can hear music to set them to, it's carmen electra web Posted by: jennifer aniston at January 18, 2005 05:49 PMPost a commentThanks for signing in, .
