While living on Oahu in the late 80's and 90's we learned that Wil would be doing a Saturday morning radio show w/Larry and Price. We quickly made reservations so our young (10 - 12 year old) son Jeffrey could see one of his idols. After breakfast and waiting for the talk radio show to begin, I went to the bathroom. Standing right in the doorway of the bathroom was some "kid" I didn't recognize...even after asking politely for this punk to move, he acted as though he were royalty and I was a mere peasant who didn't have the right to speak to him...finally, the jerk moves so I can get by. Watching the live show I was shocked to see that the punk in front of the door was "Mr Wheaton". After the show was over my son and his friend approached Mr. Wheaton for a handshake and hopefully an autograph. The same rude punk that showed himself in the doorway of the bathroom, reared his ugly head one more time, pushing the young boys out of his way telling them to "move". The youngsters were crushed. Reading some of the stories over the years I realize that I'm not the first to complain about your uppity assed attitude. I'm no crazed stalker who's been looking for you these past 15 or more years...I came across this web page w/your stories on it and thought I'd get this off my chest. I disagree w/your political views, but some of these stories are interesting. Take care.

Danny Phenix: Please accept my sincere apologies, and extend them to Jeffery. In the late 80s / early 90s, I was an incredibly unhappy and arrogant jackass, and you're not the only person who was unfortunate enough to encounter me during those years.

I don't know what else to say. I hope you'll accept my apology.

I find myself wondering if williamfuckingshatner is still the same jerk he was we you went to meet him. His All Bran commercial cracks me up. And I'm enjoying his performance as Denny Crane on Boston Legal. I hope he's grown as much as Uncle Willy.

I just can't get my head around reading a comic strip on the computer. Maybe if each frame was full screen, so I could look at it more leisurely, from a distance. I just like it on paper i guess.

Nice response to a decade's long grudge. We all grow and change: you are no longer the angsty teen you were back then.

We are defined by so much more than just what we do/have done. Perhaps someday soon there will be a toon which does not have to mention SBM, ST, or blogging even.

Every few months, a Big Apple Comic Book convention is held in New York City. Celebrity guest stars take part. This past September Denise Crosby was there, the first actor I have seen participate from the cast of TNG. I had a lot of fun meeting her and watching Trekkies 2. I wondered if you would ever come out to do this particular convention. I have already sent the convention staff an email expressing how nice it would be to see you there one day.

"The Incredibles" is a great example of how letting creative rule the roost can be indeed, very successful. I'm writing this under the condition of being laid off from a high creative position; the decision being made to keep a bunch of useless managers instead. It brought me a unique perspective; that is, that there is some hope after all, for a focus on creativity, rather than just chasing dollars.

So I am off-topic and talking about it here.

Bush stole that election,a nd don't any one of you forget it. There is an incredible amount of evidence coming out, including the fact that Cuyahoga County, Ohio alone counted 93,000 more votes than there are registered voters in the county. Exit polls, which always show an approximate 0.1% margin of error, showed a 5% margin of error in places that were expected to go more heavily towards Kerry. Democratic precincts in Florida that had upwards of 70% registered Democrats were only marginally favoring Kerry, flying in the face of the voting pattern of the entire country. So don't despair entirely of what the country is like now or what your fellow citizens are like these days. I am disturbed by the number of people who did wind up voting for Bush, but then we may never know what that number really was. The massive turnout indicates that it was a fraudulent electiona nd possibly, in truth, a Kerry landslide.

Sounds like sour grapes to me, dawg.

I came here to give a shout out to Wil being in GTA San Andreas, that was cool by the way, but instead feel I would be remiss in not responding to the resounding number of asinine comments and thoughts shared about the recent election. Bush did NOT STEAL the election. Absurd comments like that and thinking so depressingly jaded and uneducated is the reason President Bush's re-election was genuine cause to celebrate. Because it means most people still have the common sense to see whats going on around them. People want a President who will make the tough choices whether its popular or not, A President who will recognize that there are definte threats to America and take action. A President that knows that homosexuality, no matter how long its been around is a sickness, and same sex marriage is wrong. Most importantly you need a leader, which George Bush most certainly is. I'll bet 90% of you kids voted for Kerry because Rolling Stone told you so or because Jennifer Aniston wore his button. That is the real tragedy. Take a look around you, see the world and see whats going on, and make decisions for yourselves, don't let MTV tell you what to believe. People like Mr. Neal have no idea what they're talking about and even worse the world around them.

unfortunately, people who are unable to seperate personal prejudices and politics and actually believe "homosexuality is a sickness" are the reason bush won the election. Mr Allen, if you truly believe homosexuality is a sickness then perhaps you should begin campaigning for 2008 proposals to ban cancer patients from getting married as well.

In regards to your comment about homosexuality being a sickness, you should be know that love has often been compared to and considered a sickness. In that case, homosexuality is just as much as a disease as heterosexuality.

Regarding the war, yes, there were threats to America. They came from Osama Bin Laden and not Saddam Hussein. During the Presidential debates, President Bush talked about how we were all in danger and needed to have him to protect the country. If you know your history, you will note that during the Nurenberg Trials when Goering was placed on the stand and asked why the German people accepted the Nazi government as their leaders, he responded that it was the result of the government instilling fear into them.

I think Bush won because he scared the majority into it, not because he is the better leader.
