« reminder | Main | fixing a hole » November 30, 2004defame your stereoI don't remember how I found them, but I have two new favorite websites: Defamer and Stereogum. They touch my sense of humor in a way that, if Loretta touched Cleveland that way, he'd say, "Oh, Loretta, that tickles me." There will probably be light blogging for the next week or so. I think the problem with my neck, the cold that I'm barely holding at bay, and about two weeks of really restless sleep are symptoms of trying to do too goddamn much stuff all at once. Comments
Try to take it easy & get lots of rest of you can I was putting up my Christmas tree & I was curious if you had a Christball ball for sell - I had one with my college on it & thought it would be cool to have one of you & Dustpuppy from UF so I thought I would ask Posted by: Reddy at November 30, 2004 03:27 PMLoved the family guy reference. :) FEEL BETTER WIL! I LOVE YOU! Posted by: melissa at November 30, 2004 03:33 PMSo it will be a while till we see the answers to the questions on slashdot? Take care of yourself! Posted by: Steve at November 30, 2004 03:33 PMFeel better Wil! ***hugs*** Posted by: ellymae58 at November 30, 2004 03:50 PMStereogum runs a great site. If you haven't hit up this site before, you should for music and commentary: Nice Family Guy reference. That's a great episode. Posted by: Mandy at November 30, 2004 03:58 PMThat Defamer site reminds me a lot of fametracker.com -- same sort of gushing cynicism. Posted by: Nugget at November 30, 2004 04:03 PMbest post evar! i love defamer too. Posted by: steeeve at November 30, 2004 04:19 PMDont you ahve a book signing to go to tonight Wil? :) Anyway, Defamer is deffinately a bookmarking sight... as for stereogum, my work has decided to block that site because of "adult themes". What kind of BS is that? I cant surf from home, I'm still on a 26.6 Dialup!! Grr. See you in a few hours Wil! -Evin Posted by: Evin at November 30, 2004 04:31 PMGet well soon \m/ Posted by: Eric in PA at November 30, 2004 05:07 PMHeh... I was just laughing at the People headline on Defamer... "PARIS HILTON CHANGES HAIR COLOR!!!!" also; world ending in 15 minutes, millions spontaneously explode, and locusts devour Ohio. That sounds like a techy Dr's request. "Now Wil, I only want you doing some light blogging for the next week. Take 2 defrags and call me in the morning" Take it easy hope you feel better! Posted by: Drew at November 30, 2004 05:48 PMI hope you feel better soon. Don't try to do too much with your neck in bad shape; you'll regret it for a loooooooooooooong time. Take care. Posted by: Crystal at November 30, 2004 08:33 PM Hey, sweet! The pic of Wil in the VH1.com "My Coolest Years" thing on Stereogum identifies him as "Wil Wheaton, *AUTHOR*, Just A Geek" Weeee! Posted by: Mal at November 30, 2004 09:20 PMAh, yes the feeling of being run down from being too busy I know this well having worked full-time and going to school part-time. Posted by: Jessie at November 30, 2004 11:41 PMWil- I found something, you may or may not already know about it. It's from VH1.com's "my coolest years" photo gallery. Spock has nothing on you. You can browse the rest of the celebs here. That picture owns. Jim Posted by: Jim at December 1, 2004 12:36 AMFeel better soon Wil! Scientists have found a 100% cure for the common cold. Get a 10,000 links to your blog and you'll never have another one. I'm giving you one more for having a great blog and for being the star of one of my top 5 films. Posted by: RuKsaK at December 1, 2004 04:26 AMHey Wil, One of those sites you mentioned links to VH1's "My Coolest Years" and picture #22 of 34 is YOU dressed as Spock! http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/my_coolest_years/series_photos.jhtml?popThis=openFlip(1493840) It all comes back to Wil. Posted by: Andrew at December 1, 2004 05:16 AMAS for the link at vh1, cool. You look like you would be a great vulcan. Perhaps a decendant of Spock. Are you related in anyway to Leonard Nimoy? The resemblance is scary. Must be the ears. Anyway, take care of yourself and get well. PS: Live long and prosper Posted by: JDB at December 1, 2004 08:28 AMHmmm...you don't feel well and won't be blogging much, but you have time to hit on Natalie Portman on FARK.com. Sounds suspicious! ;) Just kidding! Big hugs from the Pacific Northwest, hope you feel better soon so you can properly celebrate the holidays. -kj Posted by: Kirsten at December 1, 2004 08:49 AMSweet!
