Coincidently, I was reading yesterday's Straight Dope and it had a link (in it's discussion of the origin of the term "slapstick") to a web page which sells equipment used for movie and stage special effects.

One of these days, I'm going to fly out to LA specifically to catch you in a show at ACME. Movies, TV and books, while awesome in your case, aren't as kickass as seeing a good old fashioned improv show, live and in person!

Just try and stick with ACME for a few more years, OK? It'll probably take me that long to get out there...

Very cool. I've done that myself a few times, with a group here in Virginia. Well, something similar. We re-present actualy scripts of old shows. The last one I did was a trio of stories from Suspense, and Lights Out. I'm actually about start rehearsals for a comedy themed show (complete with rewrite of "Who's on First"... I'm sure it won't compare to Abbot & Costello). It will be the first time my wife and I will appear on a stage together.

Wish I could come see you, but I'm on the wrong coast.

You DO look Wicked cool in that had! You should wear it forever!! I am so jealous of all the people that get to go to that show...i wanna be there too, but i think that flying across the atlantic is a little to far to go! but good luck with it, i know it'll go well!

on a different note, I bought Toy Soldiers on DVD the other day! It's by far and away one of my favourite movies, i can watch it over and over again! i love it! tee hee

Funny, funny show, people. And Wil got off one of the best lines of the night, in a voice that sounded suspiciously English accented... Wrong building indeed.

(To explain, the villian was a reconstructive surgeon called Herbert Krusher [named by the audience - not me]. Draw what conclusions you will.)
