Online's Guilty Pleasures said some nice things about it today. There's no perma-link option that I can find, so here's the blurb: CSI: The Next Generation After my episode airs, I'll be able to write in a lot more detail about the specifics of filming it, and comment on how the final cut reflects and differs from what we shot. Man, it's only one day away! I can't believe it's already here. Well... I don't have anything really insightful or funny to say but I thought I would jump at the chance to be the first commenter. Good luck with the show tomorrow night. Posted by: Cwakes at March 9, 2005 02:32 PM
Woohoo! I can hardly wait to see the episode. I'm structuring my day around it tomorrow... its the thing I'm looking forward to this week. I'm sure its going to be great... by the way Wil - HOT picture on the E site. Liking it. Oh yea. Posted by: lucy at March 9, 2005 02:39 PM
Hey Wil, at March 9, 2005 02:43 PM
That is so nice, they are showing some WILLY LOVIN! :) I cant wait until tomorrow. Posted by: Quincey at March 9, 2005 02:43 PM
I am looking forward to seeing this episode. at March 9, 2005 02:44 PM
I"m upset at my sister's VCR not working - since I don't have cable I can't watch it - she was going to record it for me but now that is out of the question so when is it coming out on DVD?? *looks hopeful* Posted by: Reddy at March 9, 2005 02:49 PM
Hi Will...you don't know me from Adam, but I read your blog every day (favorite so far: the AudioBlog about the American flag doormat), and your "Will Save" article in Dungeon Magazine is always a good read. I just wanted to drop in and say hello, and let you know that I'll be watching CSI this week to catch a glimpse of you. After all...how am I supposed to relate to your blog entry about it if I don't watch the episode? Right? Posted by: Trav_Laney at March 9, 2005 03:06 PM
E! had some nice things to say.. Very Cool... Can't wait to see the Episode Wil.. Cheers, Keith Posted by: Keith Xgaming at March 9, 2005 03:09 PM
OK, with two small children (one just about 4 and the other 1 1/2), I don't generally watch TV. I haven't ever seen CSI. And I've only known about your blog for a couple of months. But I've been reading it regularly since then and also downloaded your Gnomedex audio, so I feel like I'm hip to WWdN thing. However, I surprised myself the other day when I nearly told someone I was going to watch CSI this week because a *friend* of mine was on it. I mean, that's kind of an out there claim to make, considering that I've never met you. If you weren't voluntarily blogging, this would really be something more like stalking. It felt weird to have to reign in and explain the true situation. Does it ever feel weird to you? Posted by: jenkaal at March 9, 2005 03:15 PM
The Hubby and I have been counting down the days until your CSI airs. We can't wait!! We think the show rocks in general, but your appearance makes it even more exciting!! Break a leg, we'll be watching!! P.S. Hows Sketch doing? Posted by: Nutmegger at March 9, 2005 03:16 PM
Heya Wil - I'm secretly worried because I'm not catching a glimpse of you in the video trailer on the CBS website. I really wanted to see a shot of you yelling something "crazy". I'm also noticing that the guest star that the video promotes is Stephen Baldwin, but I would think they would at least mention you! Can't let anyone outshine his [cough] star now can we? Perhaps I'm just behind on my viewing but the date on the video says 3.10.05! Help a needless worrier out and assure us we'll have some Wil goodness on the telly! Dork Tower's own John Kovalic offered up a Wil Wheaton version of the CSI Drinking Game in his blog at March 9, 2005 03:26 PM
Okay, I confess.... I'm one of the many, I'm sure, who reads WWdN at work... Actually, it's part of my normal morning routine. Posted by: Sweetbug74 at March 9, 2005 03:34 PM
Wait a minute...Isn't CSI on at 9:00, not 10:00? That's what cbs' website says... http://www.cbs.com/info/hdtv/index.php Posted by: dgcopter at March 9, 2005 03:43 PM
Dude, I've been waiting with baited breath for this episode to air... No really, it's true... My wife makes me watch CSI. At least this week, I'll be looking forward to it. Posted by: DarthPedro at March 9, 2005 04:00 PM
E actually said something nice? Wow. Anyway, I am definitely looking forward to watching CSI tomorrow and then hearing about it from your point of view. at March 9, 2005 04:11 PM
Like I said in a comment on a previous CSI post, I don't have cable, so if I can't commandeer a friend's living room and TV tomorrow, I am so going to a bar and comandeering their TV. And their remote. And I won't let anyone speak during the episode. And then they'll call the cops. And then I'll get arrested. And thrown in jail. But at least I'll get to watch the show from my cell. Can't wait to see it, Wil! Herself, at March 9, 2005 05:23 PM
I absolutely positively cannot wait to see you on CSI!!!! Looking forward to your blog entries after it airs as well. You da man Wil! Posted by: dmWW at March 9, 2005 05:31 PM
That's not the episode I'm pulling up on my MythTV box for thursday night.... Is my computer wrong? I mean, I don't know if I can deal with that... say it's not so... :)

I can't wait to see the episode either. I'll just have to wait though. In Australia we're a bit behind, though thankfully not as far behind as I thought, only about 10 episodes behind. Hopefully channel 9 doesn't take the show off, only to put it back on later in the year, like they did last year. Posted by: crystal at March 9, 2005 05:45 PM
I can't wait to see the episode, I've been patiently waiting for this, I've also been bugging my mom about it (she's a CSI and TNG fan). The VCR's set, let the show air. Posted by: wallflowergirl at March 9, 2005 06:10 PM
It's gonna rawk! Posted by: drdrew at March 9, 2005 07:06 PM
hey Wil and everybody, at March 9, 2005 09:48 PM
It will take a while until the episode will air here in Europe, and we get to see it. But I'm sure I can read here in a few days how great it was. at March 10, 2005 02:53 AM
What a pleasant surprise to open this morning's NY Times and see a great article about Wil (complete with pictures)! I see Ronnie has already mentioned it--it's a terrific piece about Wil's acting and writing careers, and highlights his appearance on CSI tonight. Congratulations Wil, I can't wait to see your episode tonight! Posted by: maycomb at March 10, 2005 04:33 AM
Yes... the NY Times article was a real bonus to Thursday's paper...and pretty appropriate considering Thursday is "Circuits" day: the techie section of the paper that comes out but once a week. One of the best things is that it's going to create a "buzz", and more of those gigs are going to come your way, Wil! Posted by: Gary Brown at March 10, 2005 06:47 AM
Thank heavens for TiVo. Our local CBS station is pre-empting all of tonight's program for a basketball tournament, and it will instead be shown at 1:30am. I'm really looking forward to watching this! Posted by: Beth at March 10, 2005 06:59 AM
Will you be podcasting a commentary of the episode? I would love to be able to re-watch the episode with a commentary, as you mentioned about Battlestar Gallactica. Either way, I can't wait to watch tonight and read your recap. Posted by: HokieMBA at March 10, 2005 07:12 AM
Hey Wil, Yer in the NY Times! http://www.nytimes.com/2005/03/10/arts/10whea.html Subscription required.... unless you have another way. ;) Posted by: Troy Rutter at March 10, 2005 07:21 AM
Guess I'll be watching my first episode of CSI tonight. Posted by: mcsey at March 10, 2005 10:09 AM
Oh it will take a while it the episode airs here in Europe :( The channel that airs CSI in my country has just begun to air CSI:NY so I'll have to wait till the end of this season to begin the new season from the original series.... and then till Will's episode ... it seems too me quite a long time to wait.... To those who can see it tonight: Have a good time! Posted by: Eponine at March 10, 2005 10:16 AM
dammit Wheaton! you’re screwing up my entire life!! tonight is the series finale of this show I watch that you won’t know about cuz it’s in French and it plays at 9pm and it plays on TV and I cannot miss it and and… I’ve TRIED being in two places at once before (doesn't WORK!!!) and I’ll TRY to flick back in forth BUT IT’S NOT THE SAME WIL!!! at March 10, 2005 10:26 AM
I will admit to having been a Wesly Crusher hater. To be honest, I would have hated any kid they stuck into that role. I never bought the whole families thing on the ship. In later seasons when they finally stuck Wesly into a real uniform instead of that greyish blue turtle neck thing, I could tolerate him. But he always had that stigma from the first few seasons on him. Then I found WWdN. And I grew to know the person behind the uniform. And I found that I liked that person. And two things have happened as a result of the obvious pain, pleasure, and passion he puts into this website. 1. I have gained a new prespective on those early shows of ST:TNG, the first season is still the worst, but I no longer place any blame of that on that lanky clumsy kid. 2. I will be watching CSI for the first, and probably the last, time tonight. Congrats Wil, break a leg. Posted by: modurn at March 10, 2005 10:26 AM
We are setting the VCR's overe here, can't wait to see the ep! Congrats again on getting the part! Posted by: jadeddo at March 10, 2005 10:54 AM
I just saw the show. Great performance! This is the first episode of CSI I've watched. Posted by: Tye at March 10, 2005 07:00 PM
Heh. Great psycho Wil. Didn't know you had it in you. Posted by: obz at March 10, 2005 07:01 PM
Wil my boy, I must say, you play crazy very well. Congrats. You looked great! Posted by: Kenobismom at March 10, 2005 07:04 PM
Congrats Wil! I just watched my first CSI ep ever and it was because of you. I really don't recommend doing it while eating dinner, but I thought you did an awesome job! That was certainly the first time I've seen you play a crazy homeless guy with dreads. Thanks for the entertainment! BTW - Are you really 5'10"? ;) Posted by: bruingrl at March 10, 2005 07:06 PM
Good job, Wil! Posted by: Andy Thompson at March 10, 2005 07:35 PM
Ah! The East Coasters (or rather, non-PSTers) are beating us to the punch! I'm glad I was quick enough on the scroll to miss any possible spoilers. I'm typing this fast because the commercial break is about to end. No sign of Uncle Willy yet...the scary cop just got the kid to confess. I'm looking forward to read your blog about the episode. Boy, it's going to be an unproductive day at work tomorrow. "What?! Urinating in public?" They just mentioned you! ;-P Cheers! Posted by: Holly at March 10, 2005 09:35 PM
Hi Wil, First time poster here. Just got done watching the episode of CSI. I really liked the bit of acting you did during the "blood splatter" test. Hope to see you soon in something else. Posted by: moodsoft at March 10, 2005 10:07 PM
Hey Wil, I just wanted to say congratulations. I have been reading this site for a couple of months now and I built up my excitement right along with you. I felt like I was watching a friend on CSI, GOOD JOB and Congratulations. Posted by: DrunkMc at March 11, 2005 04:33 AM
Awesome job, Wil! I had to flip back and forth between you and The Apprentice, but I managed to catch most of your scenes. My husband wasn't really paying attention to the TV but then you came on and he was like "I know who that guy is... who is that guy?" I told him it was the Interweb's own Uncle Willy Wheaton and he didn't believe me. You bring the crazy very well! \m/ Posted by: RDZ at March 11, 2005 04:44 AM
