Are you going to sell this audiobook on you're website/other means?

I loved you're presentation on Gnomedex (downloaded the mp3's).

It's to bad to I can't visit you on stage, i'm living in Belgium so it's a little to far away.

Just a Geek & Dancing Barefoot are also available in Europe (I've ordered them yesterday)

ajpresto, I'm pretty sure Wil mentioned trying to get on TAL at some point in the past. I'm not sure if he ever went for it and submitted.

noel burke, David Sedaris is a humorist/memoirist popular with the NPR set. He's probably most famous for his Santaland Diaries. NPR plays them at some point every holiday season. If you've never heard them, they're hysterical.

I'm more curious about the "disappointment and frustration with JAG". I don't think I've seen Wil refer to it like that before. Is that disappointment and frustration post publishing? A problem with O'Reilly? Or was it with the writing/editing process? Perhaps simply referring to the stories contained therein or the time in which they were written?

Enquiring minds want to know. (Or did I completely miss something and someone else can smack me with a clue-by-four).

Wil, I think it's great that you are recording a live performance of Dancing Barefoot for your audio book. Although live recordings can always have their share of quirks, they tend to give the listener a feeling of more immediacy than a sterile studio recording. At least IMO.

I wish I could be there in the audience for the recordings. I am going to try to get out there for a performance of the new ACME show, if at all possible.

ttrentham, Wil has mentioned in a couple of previous entries that JAG didn't have the success, nor did it get as much promotional support from O'Reilly, as he had hoped for. It's a shame, too, because the book is so good and would probably appeal to a fairly wide audience that hasn't heard about it. We who have read it just have to keep spreading the word.

You probably don't want to (or can't) badmouth O'Reilly, but it would be very enlightening to hear your experiences. I for one loved the Monolith idea; my Monolith copy of Barefoot is a treasure and I'd jump at the chance to get more.
