« typical situation | Main | all the fallen leaves » May 08, 2005for my two favorite moms . . .Happy Mother's Day, Mom. I wasn't an easy kid to raise, but somehow you helped me turn out okay. Thank you for helping me make more wise choices than not. I love you! Happy Mother's Day, Anne. Your dedication to your children, your willingness to put what is best for them ahead of everything else in the world, and your singular focus on providing them the most opportunities and the best life possible, even when you didn't get one iota of support from anyone else, — especially those who should most willingly provide it — is phenomenal. You are everything a mother should be. You are awesome. Thank you for letting me be your husband. I love you, Ryan and Nolan's mommy. :) Comments

I can't imagine a more wonderful gift to receive on Mother's Day, than the kind of praise, and loving testimonial given to your special ladies. I hope my daughter will feel the same for me when she's older. Anne is a lucky woman to have a man in their life who loves her and appreciates her as much as you do. Happy Mother's Day to you, your Mom and Anne. Posted by: Ocean McIntyre at May 8, 2005 03:32 PM
I think that your post was one of the sweetest mother's day posts that I've seen all day (and believe me...I've seen a ton of them today). Happy Mother's Day to your mom & Anne. Posted by: Gaea at May 8, 2005 03:38 PM

Aren't you a bit late? It was mothers day in March here. Is it different in states?? I just wrote a pretyy funny post about "the office" (Ricky Gervais' BBC comedy) Posted by: Noel Burke at May 8, 2005 04:55 PM
First, I'm going to give you a big, embarrassing "Awwwwwwwwwwwww". Then, I'm going to tell you that it's so cool that you take the time out to recognize your mom and Anne. Tell Anne "Happy Mother's Day" for me! Posted by: Devyn at May 8, 2005 05:24 PM

Hey Wil. You are the sweetest. I wish my husband was a writer. He is not big on words but he takes his time to find the right card that says it all. I am going ot get him a calendar for Father's Day. I got a beautiful card and flowers for Mother's Day......last week. However, I will cut him some slack. This is my first Mother's Day. At least he didn't forget. at May 8, 2005 06:04 PM
Best Wishes, Wil ! Have a great day with your ladies! *hugs* Posted by: ArcticFox at May 8, 2005 06:41 PM

Wish them the best for me! *HUGS* p.s.- did you know that you are one of the hottest guys in hollywood? (I hope my boyfriend isn't reading this) if he is, Brian you're good looking too! at May 8, 2005 07:27 PM
aaw, wonderful post Wil! Posted by: Khali at May 8, 2005 07:41 PM
Thanks for sharing your heartfelt gratitude. :) Yummy. Yummier to have several wonderful mothers in my life, too. Are you familiar with the origins of Mother's Day? Might surprise you. Look for Julia Ward Howe's proclamation of 1870. -Dot http://www.livejournal.com/users/dottie_dear/ Posted by: Polka Dot at May 8, 2005 09:13 PM

......Sounds like Anne is a lucky lady. You seem to get how hard being a Mom really is. She sounds like a great one! Posted by: Jenn at May 9, 2005 06:30 AM
Wil, Speaking as a wife and mother, your words are EXACTLY what wives and mothers want to hear! Very sweet!!! Enjoy the day! Sandra Posted by: swl-mom2Bryn at May 9, 2005 08:11 AM
Wil, your love for your wife shines through every time you mention her. You both are lucky to have each other. Being a mother is the hardest, most gut-wrenching, sleepless, emotional, and sometimes thankless job in the world. The pay's horrible and the hours are long, but do I ever love my bosses (my sons)! Posted by: GeminiLove at May 9, 2005 08:31 AM
Wil, I hope you and your family are doing great. You know, that is what makes reading your blog all the worth while. You always put others before yourself. You don't find that much anymore. Hollywood is missing out on one good guy!! Second thought, whoever said Hollywood was wise was full of it! The best to you, Anne, and kids!! Posted by: JCade at May 9, 2005 11:52 AM
