Wil, there are only 10 kinds of people that even get Binary. at June 15, 2005 12:00 PM
Wasn't that the name of a Next Gen episode? Posted by: watcher652 at June 15, 2005 12:11 PM
I hope you did the toes as well. And does you mother know you did that? Posted by: Nyarl at June 15, 2005 12:11 PM
I loved that photo! And the first comment is great! Posted by: King Erasmus at June 15, 2005 12:47 PM

I want my nails done like that. Posted by: I am the Wookiee at June 15, 2005 01:33 PM
That's even dorkier than the Pi shirts they have @ the MIT bookstore -- pi symbol on the front, pi calculated out to about 100 digits on the back... Posted by: BOCK at June 15, 2005 01:41 PM
That is so awesome! I really want my nails done like that... if I could stop biting them. Though I haven't in a while, so it's possible. Posted by: Sangri at June 15, 2005 01:50 PM
That is so very "sweet." I might try writing an entire post in binary. I may take me sometime though. For those who like words and rhyme you should try Rhymerator 1.0. It helps you be a rapper. I've tried it but judging by some of my rhymes I'm not ready to join 50 cent just yet. Posted by: latinobloke at June 15, 2005 01:54 PM
hey wil, first time poster, long time reader. Cool nails, i have the same ones in pink at June 15, 2005 02:07 PM
I 01101100011011110111011001100101 YOU WIL. Binarilly yours, at June 15, 2005 03:11 PM
Aww man, *I* want fingernails like that!! Unfortunately, I have no skill at all with a nail brush. And if a press-on nail company made them, then they'd be main stream, and I wouldn't want 'em any more :) Posted by: battybeyond at June 15, 2005 03:24 PM
I wonder if these would be cooler if they were "The Matrix" green... Posted by: Mike Stanczyk at June 15, 2005 03:54 PM
I was waiting for you to say, "What does mine say?" at June 15, 2005 04:07 PM
Maybe I am just being overly skeptical, but the numbers appear to have been added to an existing pic through Photoshop? (Oh the trouble I go through to not use "Photoshop" as a verb!)Look at the tips of the fingernails. The numbers appear to travel past the nail. It's particularly noticeable on the index finger and the thumb. Posted by: Kevin M. at June 15, 2005 04:14 PM
OMBWTFLOLBBQ! It's the Binars, Wil! Posted by: Kevbo at June 15, 2005 04:45 PM
If it's not photoshopped, it's because it's a decal type application. That's why it wraps around. And those fake nails can be REALLY thick. Posted by: Meeker at June 15, 2005 05:19 PM
yep, just saw you on VH1 and you rock, dude \m/ Although I would have ranked you higher up, but that's just me. Damn, but I wish you were in a series now. (Personally, I was rooting for you to play God on Joan of Arcadia -- stupid CBS.) Posted by: enderFP at June 15, 2005 06:07 PM

My son yells down the stairs, turn on VH1! I do and it's Wil talking about his books and his web site and his faithful blog bats! Cool! Posted by: jubalation at June 15, 2005 07:36 PM
I miss out on everything. I guess the downside to not having cable is I miss when cool stuff is on. Of course, I just had a guy say he didn't know me because I was reading a Star Trek: TNG book. Such is life. Posted by: Jackie at June 16, 2005 12:41 AM
Not to be a geek but,,, Is this ASCII, or UTF-8 encoding? *hides somewhere quickly.* at June 16, 2005 02:11 AM
Uh oh. I have no idea what ASCI or UTF-8 encoding means. I hope that's not a prerequisite for geekdom. Maybe I can slide in under the radar. Posted by: jubalation at June 16, 2005 07:17 AM

One can only hope that this is a trend limited to nails on finger, thumb and toes. I wouldn't want this trend to find its way on a row of front teeth, though a customized set of dentures might be fun ;) Posted by: MacRankin at June 16, 2005 09:58 AM

I'm a loser but the original boingboing post indicated "That's all I have to say, but if you read it backwards there's an added message from Satan at no charge." I can't convert it but she says that it spells SilverAJ. Backwards, that's "Jarevils." I don't get it... J ar evils? Jar evils? Anybody clue me in? Posted by: ajpresto at June 16, 2005 06:16 PM

Wow. Now That's cool. Very origional. I like it. Posted by: Catherine at June 17, 2005 08:58 AM
Very nice. I declined to figure it out, though, as I'm trying to embrace the part of me that goes through the magic portal and to the land that resembles my desktop picture, what with the green "grass" and that fiery ball in the sky called the "sun". Yet, the call of the code lures me back... So... Orderly... Posted by: Thomas at June 17, 2005 09:00 AM
You know, I'd like to meet a woman who had nails like that. But all I ever meet are strippers. Posted by: jmcachran at June 18, 2005 02:45 PM
So, when did you start byte-ing your nails? A little bit ago, eh? Posted by: Valerie S at June 22, 2005 10:56 PM
