Happy Belated B-day. I'm glad your 33'rd is looking good -- here's to a happy 1/3 coming up.

As far as 4 days unplugged? It's hard to do at first, but gets easier as the days go by. And I'll be doing the same thing starting thursday -- Motorcycle trip from Anchorage up to Mt. McKinley and Denali park. Whee!

Glad you had a great birthday! I want to point out, though, that when you turned 33 you actually began your 34th year, your first year being from birth to first birthday, and so on. (Am I being too nitpicky?)

That said, I hope your 34th year is better than any of the 33 that have come before. It sounds like you are off to good start, anyway.

I recently seen a Febreze commercial where you can use the product for laundry care. Somehow the young boy who was sniffing the laundry basket and putting a pair of freshly laundered dry Boxers over his head reminded me of you.

Of course, if you ran around your backyard with your boxers on your head shouting "It's My Birthday! It's My Birthday!", you would tend to run into things like patio furniture, barbeque, side of house...

You know when you're a kid, and it feels like everyone on tv is older than you are? So you compare yourself to kids like Gary Coleman, Kim Fields and Tina Yothers wondering if they might be your age, because if by some chance they are, it seems to elevate your own celebrity status. "I'm the same age as that girl on Family Ties!" And it always seemed like people who were older were somehow more important. We just couldn't wait to grow up so we could be as important as they were.

Well, it turns out that when I used to watch you on TNG, and wonder, "Hmm...I wonder how old Wil is...maybe he's my age. He's probably my age. How cool would that be?"
I was totally right! I just had my 33rd birthday on June 26.
I'm still waiting to feel more important, but at least, I know that Wil Wheaton is the same age I am, and hey, how cool is that?

Just had my 41st on July 26 (exact age as Sandra Bullock). Spent this last weekend, as always, at the Gilroy Garlic Festival with family and friends followed by a tour of Gold Country and Yosemite. Had to take the Treo with me, though.

Is late better than never? I only just decided to register, so posting sooner wasn't really an option. My own birthday was the 31st; happy really belated. As for de-wiring, I will have to when we (spouse, friends and I) rent a houseboat for a long weekend later this month; the longstanding rule for this formerly annual event is that technology is banned, unless it only plays music or is already on the boat. Not my choice at all! I worry about my babies when I'm so far away. The house could burn down, or someone could break in...our insurance probably isn't enough to replace all the machines.

Want to know a little secret? The TabletPC probably will go, anyway; I just won't turn it on. Problem is, the last time I smuggled a computer on board, a dock employee smashed us into the dock...and the gas pump...while our grill was heating up in preparation for cooking dinner. Fortunately, the worst that happened was that the boat looked less aesthetically pleasing and we were inundated by the smell of gas fumes (thank goodness for automatic shut-off valves!). Some swear it wouldn't have happened if the laptop hadn't been on board.
