only makes me laugh
In this week's Games of our Lives, I ask:
Ever wonder what Donkey Kong would have been like if the game had talked to you in a weird underwater voice? Or what if, instead of playing a tough little carpenter fighting a giant cool gorilla, you were a wussy little lumberjack fighting a giant lame-o bird? OK, I had a proper look at Logger, and it still looks shite. I always hated it when you got ripped off by a game that was a clone of something else. I felt dirty and used!
But like you say, once you put your money in, it's too damn late!

Donkey Kong was a kick as* game. I used to love playing against my grandfather when I spent summers with him. Luckily we never ran accross Logger.

Too weird this - I thought there'd be 100 comments by now like there usually is...
Yeah, Logger fortunately never crossed my path either thank goodness!
I always sucked at Donkey Kong though - I don't recall the sprite collision detection being all that hot.

Man, your bio lines alone are worth the visit. Even for hack game like Logger.
Did you review Bosconian and I missed it? That was the only game I was ever the best on the block at. All energy, no value to memorizing patterns. I miss games like that.

Good Morning Gabby!!
Once you got the rhythem of it, it got easier. I remember playing it until the break of dawn, only pausing to grab more cheese balls and another mountain dew.
As far as arcade games I was more of a Ms.PacMan girl. Ahh I remember the excitement of getting to the banana level...
Yeah the lack of comments is weird. But, it was nice getting to *meet* you. :o)

My personal favourite was Bomb Jack. (sorry if I got the name wrong). I liked the backdrops of all the different places in the world, and floating around picking up bombs.
Another favourite I saw once and never again was Blueprint. I only played it a couple of times, and it was probably crap really, but I remember it made a big impression on me at the time!
Hope Wil doesn't mind us chatting up his comments section!

Is that the one you remember? At a quick glance it seems like a decent site.
I dont remember seeing that one or Bomb Jack, but then, during that time in my life I was in the middle of Nebraska and they always seemed a little behind in the games department.

Good lord, but I'm old. *lmao* Last game I actually played in an arcade was...was...Hm. Centipede. Sometime in the mid-80's. But I had a mini-arcade version of PacMan at home that I cramped my fingers on regularly due to those tiny joysticks. My brother had the one for Galaxian (and I was pretty good at that one too). Never came across Logger, though. I'm glad I didn't *hee hee*

Since JumpMan was really Mario before he was Mario, wouldn't be be a plumber and not a carpenter? Okay, this is weird. I did some research and lots of folks claim he, uh, changed professions between DK Jr. and Mario Bros, but, for the life of me, I don't remember him ever having been established as a carpenter in DK. Where is it?
