But! This means that I get the entire pot of coffee to myself. The world seems . . . really . . . clearandsharpandinfocus . . . today, and all the stuff I'm writing will either be reallyreallycool or reallyreallylame. Bzzzt. Comments
Well hope she has a good tyme and have fun with the kids. I wouldn't advise drinking a whole pot of coffee because you wil be off the walls but then again kids usually like that, so rock on dude. And yes don't set the house on fire. "Moblog is lame. I know you didnt come up with that name but picblog isn't as lame, its just one mor letter." Posted by: Matt at September 14, 2005 11:56 AM
This would probably be a good time to try multi-tabling 3 or 4 tables at PokerStars, if the focus is that sharp! Congrats on the continued success of the PokerStars Katrina relief tournaments, by the way. at September 14, 2005 11:58 AM
Settle down there java-boy...make sure you're tethered to the ground before you lift off.. Posted by: darrinator at September 14, 2005 12:01 PM
Funny picture. I love that episode of futurama. It is sooo funny. I'm less of a coffee person myself, but I definitly get that way after a few cans of mountain dew. Posted by: Antoinette at September 14, 2005 12:07 PM
Hooray for having the entire pot of coffee to yourself! Posted by: CGG at September 14, 2005 12:29 PM
Oooh, I had a clearandsharpandinfocusday yesterday... I went to our local farmer's market and got a cup of delicious organic mexican java ground fresh right in front of me! at September 14, 2005 12:50 PM
But!!!, the after effects (if you know what I mean) are not as pleasing. Posted by: Roxymom at September 14, 2005 12:54 PM
Coffee roolz.... I write software for a living and software is fueled by coffee. And now that they have found that coffee is a most excellent source of anti-oxidants, it gives you the feeling that you're actually being healthy while you're getting your caffeine fix. Go Wil, fuel up there my boy! Posted by: fgw_three at September 14, 2005 01:25 PM
Coffee doesn't do much for me. I drink it because I like it and I have found and awesome flavor. Carmel Truffle. You can get it at Wal-Mart. It's really good if you like Carmel. Posted by: VeronicaRobinson at September 14, 2005 01:31 PM

KEVIN GAMIN: So, I figure I just drop a couple of heaping spoonfuls of Sanka into Wil Wheaton's orange juice, and collect the ensuing data. I'll definitely get first place. And who knows? I might even win me a Noble Peacie Prize! {Cut to view of Kevin Gamin and Wil Wheaton in the basement. Kevin Gamin is holding a legal pad, which he makes periodic notes in. One of Wil Wheaton's eyes is open unnaturally wide, and he holds his hands high above his head. His fingers twitch from time to time.} KEVIN GAMIN: So Wil, tell me, how do you feel? WIL WHEATON: {speaking very quickly and clapping his hands together over his head} I feel great! I feel great! I feel great! I feel bad. I don't even watch football! I don't even watch football! I can't remember my legs! http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail91.html Posted by: Kevin Gamin at September 14, 2005 02:21 PM

I wonder if Wil has time to browse the web these days... I hope he discovered Homestar Runner before now :) Oh btw hi Wil, I'm Wade! 26 from Pensacola FL and a huge fan (I watch Stand by Me an average of twice a week on DVD!) Own two STTNG sets (3 and 4) and want so much to buy your books, they're awesome (saw the Gnomedex video). Also saw the Family Guy parody of STTNG ("You can... SUCK MY RIDGES!") They sounded like Seth got Patrick, Jonathan and Michael to do the voices! Awesome work on that. Posted by: EazyCheeze at September 14, 2005 03:48 PM
Mmmmmmm CAW FEEEEEE.... Posted by: dansroka at September 14, 2005 04:12 PM
Ah caffeine...the finest of the legal drugs. Recently for me it's been a big pot o' Cafe Bustelo after about five beers. And then five more beers. And then message board posting about scifi and biscuits, and singing the wrong words to Ben Folds songs a little too loudly. Posted by: Kristen at September 14, 2005 04:24 PM
Coffee and cigarettes....not just a good movie by at September 14, 2005 05:09 PM
congrats on not setting fire to anyone...i drank 3 24-ounce bottles of mountain dew today and made mozarella sticks in the oven without burning the house down... i love days when i'm home sick alone... Posted by: shewhobeatsass at September 14, 2005 05:31 PM
But if you drink that entire pot of coffee at a large gala that ends up on fire and saving everyone due to coffee consumption...that's extra cool points there. Fry is the man. Posted by: nolagirl at September 14, 2005 06:44 PM
saw this and thought of you. at September 14, 2005 07:35 PM
That is my absolute favorite episode of Futurama! Just the image of Fry saying, "coffeecoffeecoffee..." is just hilarious. Are you doing that yet, Wil? Ooh I could use a pot-sized cup of coffee these mornings. So much to do and so little time and little energy! Posted by: Sangri at September 14, 2005 07:55 PM
My husband is an AVID coffee drinker (not so much tea...unless there's no coffee. Dratted limey!) Unlike most people, coffee is like hot chocolate to me. Makes me very VERY sleepy. If I need a wake-up call (like driving 23 1/2 hours to Limestone, ME from Chicago, IL), it's Mt. Dew and popping vivarin every 1/2 hour or so. I haven't watched Futurama in ages, but I do have one other corollary...Beavis. Not as stupid, but definitely higher than a kite. *lol* Posted by: changelingkat73 at September 14, 2005 08:02 PM
Well, I did better tonight than Wil. Im in the top 100, and Wil finished at 115. Monday night I was 88 out of a huge field, and I was thrilled to finish so high with it being my first online tournament. I was hoping to play against will at least one hand, but I'll have to wait. One day Wil! Ever since you mentioned the possibility of a game on Slashdot, I've held a little in reserve waiting. Posted by: Steven at September 14, 2005 08:11 PM

I love coffee, but it hurts my gut - I end up having to drink it really milky, so wheres the fun in that? I just don't drink it! Also stopped drinking tea, and feel fantastic as a result (now I'm over the need for a fix). Coffee has a halo/wings AND horns/pointy tail SO beware!!! Posted by: Gabby at September 15, 2005 03:46 AM
Wil, Enjoy playing 'Java the Hut' today! Master of your domain, Overlord of all, Ruler of the rugrats. Heck, why not have a few pod races with the kids... Ummm, and this was much more lame than anything you posted. And fresh ground - gotta be fresh ground. ANDWHYSTOPATONLYONEPOTWHENYOUCANMAKEPOTAFTERPOTALLDAYANDALLNIGHTLONG???????? You could even be 'Wil the human gecko' and cling to the ceiling to impress the kids. Enjoy. Posted by: Nyarl at September 15, 2005 05:53 AM

Do we need to help you drink the coffee?? I personally prefer Dublin Dr Pepper but if you have any flavor creamers & lots of sugar, I'll drink coffee but the older I get the more I will drink it Posted by: Reddy at September 15, 2005 08:40 AM
Hey Wil, I know you can pull off all your duties! You always have a good attitude about things and that is what gets you through. If anyone deserves a whole pot of coffee it is you. I have really enjoyed your poker blogs and I have been cheering for you all the way! Best of luck with everything! Have a great day! Posted by: JCade at September 15, 2005 09:20 AM
